Review: Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub

Up for review today, we have Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub, all that name for what really is just a cleanser... Anyhow, this product is soap free, oil free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (I would hope so on the last one, as it is a cleanser.) I recieved this cleanser last year as part of Elle magazine's Beauty Grand Prix. I was selected to test a boat load of products in the facial cleanser, hand cream, and body scrub categories. I am super bummed that I missed out on the sign up this year as it was a blast to try everything. The products I recived were all wrapped in a silver "Elle" motiff plastic, which I was forced to remove after testing was finished as they never sent me a list of what I used (that is why my tube has indents!)

"Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub helps improve skin tone, texture, and clarity to reveal brighter, more radient skin. This unique formula combines smooth, round microbeads with moisture-rich soy extracts to gently exfoliate and remove complexion dulling impurities while you cleanse. Good for everyday use and gentle enough for sensitive skin, Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub leaves skin looking and feeling cleaner, smoother and radiently healthy" From package.

I liked that this cleaner has the scrub factor built right in, but there is not enough scrub action for me to not use my usual 2-3 time weekly scrub. That said this is a nice cleanser. It clenses really well and is gentle on your skin. Skin feels clean, and smooth without that irritating tightness you can get when cleansers are too strong. The scrubbers in this cleanser are as they say "micro" and can barely be seen in the product and aren't really felt on the skin until you start to rub the cleanser on. This cleanser rinses cleanly and easily, thanks to the fact that it is soap free. I have to say that as for the claims that this cleanser will make you skin tone more even and brighten your complexion... didn't happen here, but I didn't actually believe it would, so...there you go. All in all this is a great product and worth a try.
