January Faves

Another month over, that means it's faves time! I am nosy and love to see what everyone else is loving, so the end of the month makes for great blog reading.

When I went to my stash to decide what would make my list this month, I thought to myself what I always think "I didn't even get that much new stuff...what will I pick?" and I usually end up being wrong. I did get a fair bit of new products. Anybody else "forget" how much stuff they buy in a month?

1) Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
Not a new item, and not a newbie on the faves list, but I had stopped using this for a while (not even too sure..) but I have gotten back into using it and it is a must have in my opinion.

2) Cover Girl Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation in Flax
I have used this almost everyday since I bought it and I am really liking it. It is a lighter foundation than most of the ones in my collection, but I am starting to realize my skin isn't in as bad shape as I had always thought.

3) Revlon Colour Burst Lipstick in Soft Nude
I've said it before, I am not a big lipstick person, but I think I can now stop saying it. I picked up a few of these little gems this month and am a total convert! I ended up getting Soft Nude from because no stores around here had it. It is the most perfectly balanced nude, with just the right amount of pink. I highly recommend it and any colour from the collection.

4)MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Light/Medium
I have considered getting this so many times and never have, but I am so happy I finally did! I plan on doing a full review so, yeah. Great product.

5) 100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
I'm not one to have "specialized" creams for every part of my face/body, but I got this deluxe trial tube so I figured I may as well put it to good use. This eye cream is great for mornings when you didn't get enough sleep (who ever does though?) as it helps perk up tired skin. I don't get puffy eyes, but I do get hollows. While this can't get rid of them completely, it does make my eyes look a bit better which is a plus. Also, it moisturizes really well and has a slightly nutty almost coffee-ish scent.

6) ELF Studio Blush in Peachy Keen
As you may have noticed, I am not a big ELF user, but I did place a small order and am really enjoying the Studio products that I got. One of those products being Peachy Keen blush. I normally wear pinks or mauve type blushes, but I thought I would be a bit adventurous and go for something different. I like that this blush isn't super intensely pigmented, so it is easy to apply and it gives a warm peachy -pink glow. I might be a peach blush convert!

7) ELF Studio Stipple Brush
I am a former sponge applicator gal who upgraded to foundation brush. I thought that I was happy with that, but now that I have gone to stippling, I see the error of my ways. Although this brush is a bit smaller and floppier than I expected, I am so happy with the ease and finish it gives in the application of my foundation. I also use it apply cream blush. I intend on getting the Sigma Duo Fibre (F50 the larger one) eventually, but this one will defiantly hold me over until then.

8) Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in Cream
I bought this a shade darker than my foundation from this line to see if it would work better for under eye cover, and I was right. While the colour is a bit dark for the rest of my face, this works as a great under eye concealer. It covers the discoloration well, and when set with powder stays put for the better part of the day. I like to set my under eye area with Bare Escentuales Well Rested.

9)Barry M Lip Gloss in Strawberry Milkshake
I have worn this lip gloss steady since receiving it. It isn;t sticky and has just enough of a hint of colour.

What were your faves this month?
