Review: Eco Tools Powder Brush

I have been using this brush everyday for a few months now, and it just dawned on me that I've never reviewed it. Possibly because it slipped my mind, and because I don't feel like I know how to review a brush very well. They are tricky to review in my opinion... Like perfume, everybody's take is different and you don't really know until you've tried it for yourself.

Don't expect a long review, but I'll try to cover everything...

First off, if you aren't familiar with Eco Tools brushes (where do you live... under a rock!?) you should give them a perusal. They are great quality- all the ones I have have been- and they are affordable (I got this one at Wal mart for $11.99) to boot. But more than all that, they are made from earth friendly materials including bamboo handles, recycled aluminum ferrules and taklon bristles, which are 100% cruelty free.

The bristles are super soft, I'd say this brush is the softest of all the brushes in my collection. Not only are they super soft they are quite dense and pick up the perfect amount of powder. I use this brush for just that, powder. It picks up pressed powder easily and allows for an even coverage with each sweep. I have yet to have any bristles fall out- even after quite a few washes. As you can see in the closer up photo (click to enlarge) you can see some of the shimmer of my MSF natural has stuck around - even after washing- but the brush has kept is shape very well. The handle is the perfect shape and fits well in my hand.

Overall, I am quite happy with this brush. Eco Tools products are available in most department type stores (ie Wal Mart, Zellers, etc) and drugstores. Have you tried this brush or any Eco Tools brushes? Which one is your fave?

  2. I have a reasonable ecotools collection, I don't talk about them a lot, but I really should, they make great brushes. This blush brush one is one of my faves too! :)
