China Glaze Lemon Fizz and Peachy Keen

In the past while I've gone all nutso for nail polish, and China Glaze has been my most purchased brand. I was slow to get on the Glaze-y bandwagon, no real reason, but now I am hooked. I have been slowly picking up polishes from the Up & Away Collection. They are just so happy. I need a bit of happy, even if it's just a flash on my fingertips.

Lemon Fizz and Peachy Keen were the first two that I picked up -I've since ordered Grape Pop and Something Sweet and am thinking Four Leaf Clover, Re-Fresh Mint and Flyin' High are going to be next.

Lemon Fizz

I've never really been a huge fan of yellow, even though yellow looks quite good on me... I hadn't ever worn yellow polish as a result of my non love of the shade. I had bought a Sally Hansen yellow ( Mellow Yellow from the Xtrem Wear line) but I've yet to try it out. I should have done a comparison... dropped the ball on that one, huh? Anyhow, Lemon Fizz is a creamy pale yellow, well it has a bit of punch, but it isn't a full on bright yellow. It's a very pretty, sunny shade. I had a little bit of application troubles, but I found that it is easier to do a few super thin coats than less thicker coats, or else you get a streaky patchy mess. Overall, my opinion of yellow had improved ten fold.

Peachy Keen

Orange (I know, this is peach) is another colour I'm not that fond of, but I thought since they pass this off as peach, I could probably give this a try. I have found that as my polish collection grows I am forced to go out of my colour zone, or else I'd have to quit buying it, and well... that just isn't going to happen. Anyway, this is not as pinky toned as I would have thought for a peach, but it is a very pretty creamed pale orange. I wasn't sure what I thought of this one on, but after a day or two I just couldn't stop looking at my nails! There were no application issues with this one, and had an almost perfect application with one coat (a second was used to even everything up.)

Overall, I am super pleased with both of these polishes and will patiently waiting for the bloody post to be back in order so I can dig into my next two shades from this collection. I highly recommend these if you love a good creamy polish or sunny happy colours.
