May Faves!

Goodbye to May and hello June. Can you believe the year is already half over? I think it's just a bit ridiculous, but summer weather is finally here! Today was almost a perfect day: sunny, a nice breeze, not scorching hot, but it could have been just  touch warmer. I almost regret saying that after the past two days of oddly hellish heat. Okay enough weather chatter, onto the faves.

Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume
This was part of the Try it Kit, but it wasn't one of the products I was all that into trying, I bought it more for the other items. Gloss is gloss...right? Wrong. I am so in love with the formula of this gloss. It isn't gluey sticky, it doesn't ball up in the corner of your mouth after extended wear and it lasts so long. I wore it steady all month, but recently I wore it to a meeting, had lunch, came home and took a nap, and, I never kid when it comes to lip gloss, when I woke up I still had a bit on. How? The colour is an irridescent pale nude that looks great on it's own and over any colour lipstick. I can't say enough about it. I am pretty sure I now have to order these in every colour.

Avon Ultra Rich Lipstick in Pout
I got a bunch of Avon lipsticks last time they were on sale and out of the bunch only ended up with one shade that I really loved ( I find it hard to find cream finishes from Avon, they usually all have shimmer.) That shade is Pout, a really pretty pink. It is comparable to quite a few other shades (that cost a fair bit more) but wears really well. It is super smooth and has a reasonable lasting time when worn.

Nivea Milk and Honey Lip Balm
I am a devout user of Blistex Lip Medix, but I don't always need such a heavy duty balm, so after seeing this on countless monthly faves then seeing it buy one get one free I had to try it. I'm happy I did. It is the perfect consistency, not overly thick or heavy and it has a light honey scent. It moisturizes really well too and is great under lipstick.

Joe Fresh Nail Polish in Shell
I didn't "do" my nails much in May, but I did keep with with many coats of this beachy nude. See more of it here.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in R.S.V.P
I kept my eye looks very simple for most of the month and this shadow was a staple in my routine. I just swiped this shimmer champagne shade on, added some liquid liner and a good coat of mascara and I was all set. See more of this here.

Marcelle Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black
I think I've said it a few times, but I love this eyeliner. I wore it steady in May after a bit of a break from it. It is sadly starting to dry out a bit. I picked up a Cover Girl one (it was the only pen style I saw) but I don't think it can live up to my beloved Marcelle. See a full review of it here.

Estee Lauder Tender Blush in Nude Rose
A relative gave me this from a GWP and it is such a great summer blush. It is a bronzed out peach, but is matte. It isn't super pigmented, but it builds easily and blends well.

Skin 79 BB Cream Minis
As I said in my review of these, I've been trying out BB creams. These two (the Hot Pink, as it gets called, and the Diamond Prestige) have been my favourites out of the four. The hot pink tube is no longer with us, as I had to cut the tube to get the last little bit out.

What were your faves last month?

P.S The warmer weather had me sporting new (okay super old) earrings. I got them ages ago, like elementary school, but I had deemed them "lame" and never wore them. I found them while organizing my jewelery boxes and have re-deemed them "too cute" even though I hate watermelon!
