Review: Milani Baked Blush - Luminoso

I used to believe that I only really needed one blush. Just one natural shade. Ha! How wrong was I? My newest blush- this gorgeous Milani Baked Blush- happens to also be my newest favourite shade of blush, peach.

I'd seen quite a few positive (very positive, actually) and I'd picked it up a few times in store but put it back. I think it was mainly the tacky gold compact that I was put off by. It wasn't until Tiffany from Will Work for Makeup responded to a comment I left one of her posts. She pretty much insisted that I needed this. I trusted her, and am so very glad that I did!

Since I already mentioned the (tacky) gold compact- why do cosmetics companies feel the need to use gold packaging? 99% of the time it looks terrible. Stick to silver if you feel the need to snazz up your packaging please. That said, this blush is in a slightly bulky compact. The bulkyness is thanks to the lover compartment which houses a little half moon brush (a bit scratchy, but not the worst I've ever encountered) there is also a mirror in there as well. Another thing to the cosmetics companies, most of us do not need mirrors in everything. Give us a bit more product and we'll use our own mirrors quite happily.

The blush itself, is a gorgeous peach. It has a hint of shimmer, nothing serious, but just enough to give you a pretty glow. This blush is super soft and nicely pigmented. The quality is superior to pretty much every drugstore blush I've ever used (better than some non-drugstore blushes as well.) This product is really fantastic and for $8.99 totally worth "splurging" on.

Have you ever used a Milani Baked Blush? What did you think?
