Review: MAC Equilibrium Blush

As you probably are well aware of, MAC introduced another collection not that long ago- well, as of late there have been a ton of collections, anyhow... The MAC Me Over collection saw the release of a ton of new goods. I was initially drawn to a few lipglasses, but in the end the only item I hauled was Equilibrium blush.

Equilibrium is described as being a "light bronze" with a satin finish. This is not the type of shade I would usually gravitate towards but it seemed too interesting not to give it a try. I must say I'm pretty impressed with the shade and over the past week or so have used it pretty frequently.

It looks quite brown in the pan, but don't be fooled, it is not just brown blush. It has a sheer tint of peach in a light tan base with a glow of golden shimmer. The shade is pretty neutral in terms of warmth and I really think that this one could suit any skin tone. Well, I take that back, it isn't super pigmented so it might not show up that well on very dark skin tones.

I liked that this was not overly pigmented because I think it would have been scary to use (yes, I meant scary.) For reference I am NC20, so I did have doubts that this would arrive and be too shimmery and too dark to be of any use, but it makes for a really great blush for neutral looks as it gives you a natural glow with a light wash of colour.

Overall, I think this is a great blush, a unique addition for my collection for sure. Did you pick anything up from the MAC Me Over collection?

  3. Hmmm I bet this would look strange as a blush on my skintone but maybe it would work as a bronzer?
