Swatched: Nubar Black and White Polka Dots

Sometimes I'm super on top of new polishes and can't wait for their release, other times they kind of just sneak up on me. Nubar's Polka Dots were the later. I saw a NOTD that featured Black Polka Dots and was intrigued by the idea of black glitter. I jotted down a note to check it out. I found it and it's White Polka Dot pal, and decided to order it them whenever I placed another polish order. Fast forward a few weeks and it was sold out. Seems like everyone was jumping on the polka dot train. I can't say that I blame them.

Black Polka Dots is just as it sounds: small black glitter in a clear base with larger sized black hex glitter. The glitter isn't metallic in any way, so it is more of a matte glitter, but the look is really interesting. Maybe it's just because black glitter isn't something you see that often, but I really love the look of it. I wore it over OPI Steady as She Rose and couldn't stop looking at my nails.

White Polk Dots is much the same as the black, as you get the two sized of glitter in a clear base. The larger hex glitter in White Polka Dots is a soft, pearly white that can lean silver in some light, while the smaller glitter is similar but also leans a bit blue in certain light.

I find I prefer the Black Polka Dots over the White as it is more unique and different than anything else I have. I think the White could look great over red and I'm thinking I might have to try it over pastels. What do you think of these polishes? Have you tried black glitter yet?
