Swatched: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls & Just Spotted the Lizard

I almost forgot about these... oops. They came in last week and I eagerly swatched them and they had their little photo shoot. I uploaded the photos and then... well, I sat on them. These polishes are from OPI's newest collection, The Amazing Spider-Man. As you can see, I opted not to go for the collection in it's entirety, as I wasn't super into most of what they had up for offer and I couldn't care less about Spider-Man. I've seen this collection labeled as being OPI's Summer collection... really? Between this collection and the Mini Mouse polishes (which seemed rather uninspired, as much as I wanted to like them) OPI seems to need a little more inspiration. There were however two polishes that I was curious about: My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Just Spotted the Lizard.

My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a very pale gray. LOVE. I was a bit apprehensive about how this would look on because of the fact that it is so light, but it looks fresh, clean and modern. The formula of this is perfection! Exactly what a cream should be. It's opaque, I used two coats. It didn't apply in a streaky, patchy mess, and just look at that shine, and that's without any topcoat. I am very impressed with this shade.

OPI Just Spotted the Lizard

Just Spotted the Lizard is a golden-dirty green chrome that has blue and teal colour play. It is said to be a dupe of Chanel's Peridot, and I'd agree by looks, even though I don't own the original. I love this shade. It's that olive green metallic hue that I love. The application of this was pretty good, two coats for an even opaque coverage. This was a touch brush stroke-y, but I used a new technique that I learned (post soon, it's too good not to share!) which banished them.

From a collection I was lukewarm about, I managed to get two polishes I really love and will get a ton of wear out of. I love surprises like that! Did you pick up any polishes from The Amazing Spider-Man Collection? Which ones?
