I don't know exactly how I do it, but I have the gift of always being able to spot a new nail polish colour that would be perfect for my collection. It's a gift really. On one of my latest Wal Mart excursions I spotted a new range of Sally Hansen polishes.
The Smooth and Perfect Color + Care line is made up of '8 barely there shades' and claims to 'allow 20% more oxygen to reach nails'.
"This breakthrough nail color hides ridges and imperfections with a breathable porcelain-smooth finish. Enhanced with ginseng, camelia oil and lotus to promote stronger, healthier nails."- Sally Hansen product webpage
While there was no mention in store of these being 'barley there' shades, I did have a feeling that they were sheers. I'm normally not a sheer fan, but the look of Sorbet was so soft and feminine that I had to try it out. I am pleased to say that these can be built up to opaque, you just have to be a bit patient and be prepared to use four to five coats. The colour is a light creamy peach with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer is very fine, but does add a bit of extra dimension to the overall look.
I don't think that I noticed any beneficial qualities to this polish, but the colour is nice and it wore pretty well. I would consider picking up a few of the other shades as they would be great for layering with glitters.
Have you used this polish? Are you a fan of sheer formulas?
This is such a gorgeous nude color!
