Review: MAC Cut a Caper Lipstick

Another unintended absence on my part... I need to get my blogging butt back into a routine. But I see there are a few new followers, welcome everyone! Today I've got a fast post, but this happens to be a new favourite of mine.

MAC Cut a Caper was recently re-promoted with the Heavenly Creatures Collection (one of five lipsticks.) It's described as being a 'peachy pink' which is pretty much spot on. It's a Luster finish, which I don't think I had in my collection up until now. The Luster finish offers a 'demi-sheer with a smooth wet look finish'. I love the finish, since it wears as easily as lipgloss and just generally looks great. I do find it doesn't wear as long as other formulas, but it's worth re-applying.

The coverage is semi sheer, but opaque enoough to show easily. You can layer this to build up more or less colour as well. I love how simply this shade can be slicked on. I'd say that it would work for any skin tone, and it's the right shade for any look and any season. I've been wearing this pretty exclusively since I got it. I love it!

Did you pick up any shades from this collection?
