Review: MAC Keep it Loose and Evening Stroll Lip and Cheek Colour

Well, I don't know how to feel... partially 'duh' for loosing these photos and being so late with this review, or happy because I did find them. I went a bit nutty trying to figure out how I lost 30 some odd photos. A file within a file, that's how if you were wondering. Since these were limited edition- as part of the Casual Colour Collection, they are no longer available directly from MAC. But as we all know, there are quite a few ways to get limited items after the fact, so I don't feel too bad posting a late review.

MAC Keep it Loose and Evening Stroll Lip & Cheek Colour

Versatile, lightweight all-in-one colour for cheeks and lips. Creamy, super-blendable, barely there formula. Contains vitamin E to help keep skin and lips nourished." - MAC description

Basically, these are cream blushes that you can also use on your lips. For cheeks, these are pretty great. The formula is creamy, soft, and super blendable. These are not cream to powder, so they stay dewy and soft looking on skin. On lips, these don't fare as well. I find them to be a bit drying, as they don't stay creamy on the lip. These definitely won't be something you stash in your purse to re-apply quickly during the day. They are workable however, if you apply over a balm on lips in good condition.

MAC Keep it Loose Lip & Cheek Colour

Keep it Loose is described as a 'warm peach' but to me it looks more cool toned. Anyhow, it is a soft peach tone that is so pretty. It blends onto skin creating a natural, girly flush. Since the shade is light and natural, it is pretty much impossible to over do it. I don't know how well this would work on those darker than medium-deep, but for lighter tones it is gorgeous.

MAC Evening Stroll Lip & Cheek Colour

Evening Stroll is described as a 'violet cream' which is pretty spot on. It does have a slight dustiness to it as well. This shade definitely is not for everyone. It can be worn sheer, and does take on a bit more pink as such. It's a great option if you've been searching for a purple blush that actually reads purple on.

Overall, these are pretty great cream blushes, but not quite as lip colour. The only true downside of these is their size. At 13ml you get a lot of product, which is going to last an exceptionally long time, but will you want to use it? I tend to stay away from cream products for that very reason. I usually can't finish the whole thing by the time it should be tossed. To help remedy that, I used a little moisturizer spoon to scoop out a bit of product onto the back of my hand (a q-tip would work, too.) Since these apply best with fingers (I found brushes sucked up too much product) that should help keep the pots bacteria free longer. Anyway, did you pick up any of these? What did you think?
