Review: mark. Gloss Gorgeous Stay on Lip Stain

I usually have some sort of intro paragraph, but you know what? I'm coming up blank. So, let's just get to business, yes? Lets go!

mark. Gloss Gorgeous Stay on Lip Stain is an interesting concept: they go on glossy, and wear like a gloss but when the gloss wears away, you're left with a stain. Unfortunately, they don't quite work as such (more on that later.) The gloss/stains are housed in click up tubes with brush applicators. The clicky mechanism is a neat touch as it makes them that little bit different from the twist up type. The gloss is a nice texture: light and not overly sticky. It does have a minty scent/flavour. I'm not a huge fan of minty glosses, but it does go away after a few minutes, so it isn't terrible, just not my first choice.

Bare is a violet toned nude. It is quite sheer, but it does add a tiny bit of colour to my lips and shine.

Frilly is an orange shade with light shimmer. The shimmer doesn't really read once on, and again the colour is quite sheer.

Neither shade packs much pigmentation and neither leaves a stain on my lips once the gloss wears away. As glosses these would be nice, if they had more pigmentation. As sheer as they are, they just don't do all that much for me. These are available online for $12 CAD from Avon or from your independent sales rep or mark. seller if you're in the US. Have you tried these? What did you think?

  1. The colors are really pretty, similiar idea to the Revlon Balm stains-- glossy & then staining. I may try these the next time I make a Mark. order :)
