Review: Sleek Blush by 3 'Lace'

It's a relatively rotten television night, so I thought I might as well do something at least a bit productive. I've been meaning to review a few Sleek items I ordered months ago, and I finally got photos taken. Do you know how badly I've wanted to dip into these? I love how fresh, unused products look in photos, but sometimes it's just too hard to wait it out. You know?

When Sleek first introduced their By 3 blush palettes I was pretty excited. Sleek makes great blush, so having three all in one compact palette seemed like a pretty great idea. Initially they were limited to one particular store, a European store, making it seem unlikely I'd ever get my blush loving hands on one. But, the Sleek folks must have had a change of hearts, because they ended up offering them for sale on their website. Score! I scooped two up, one in Pumpkin (review soon) and the one we'll look at today, Lace.

The palette is a heavy feeling, durable plastic with a full mirror inside and a good closure. I've dropped mine (and a Sleek eyeshadow palette) and had no damage at all. Sleek knows how to make a great, durable palette. Inside, you find three blushes, just a tad smaller than full size Sleek blush. A regular Sleek blush is 8g and sells for $5.99 while the By 3 is 20g and sells for $12.49.

Sleek Blush by 3 'Lace' L-R: Crochet, Guipure, and Chantilly

Sleek Blush by 3 'Lace' L-R: Crochet, Guipure, and Chantilly

The Lace palette contains two matte shades: Crochet and Chantilly, and one shimmer: Guipure. The shades all fit into a orange-coral family and can be used in combination or alone.

Crochet is a matte orange. When sheered out it starts to fall into peachier territories.

Guipure is a shimmering golden pink tinged peach. When sheered out you get more of the peachy glow than the pink undertones, because of this sheerness it goes well layered over either of the matte shades.

Chantilly is a matte coral. I initially thought that this shade would be too red toned for my liking, but sheered out it makes for a nice bright pop of colour.

The shades are all nicely pigmented (Guipure not as much as the others, but I do think that was intentional) and wear quite well. I find mattes never last as long as other formulas, but I get about 4-5 hours before fading. I like that these are such poppy summery shades, but I didn't have to break the bank for them. Overall, I like these! The quality is pretty great, and where else can you get three blushes, that you'll actually use and enjoy, for under $15? Have you tried these? What did you think?
