Swatched: Butter London Trustafarian

Sometimes, I imagine that it might have been nice to be born a trust fund baby. To live without the stress of money, or lack-thereof. To spend endlessly on whatever I fancy... but I'm not, and I can't. I can however, treat myself to little indulgences, like a nice bottle of Butter London nail polish. Which I did.

Butter London Trustafarian

Trustafarian is described as a 'delightful sage green with a golden holographic finish'. They are spot on. The green looks fairly pale in the bottle, but once on the nail you get more of the golden tones. The holographic effect is scattered as opposed to linear, but it really catches the light and flares in golden tones, blues and hints of copper. The forumla is similar to almost every other holo I've used: thin. Thin, but easily worked up to opaque in three coats.

I think that this is a fun take on holographics, the golden-green tone is a nice change from the more simplistic shades that are often released. What do you think of this shade?

Availability: Butter London, Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection, $17

  1. I think this shade is a beauty! It would be great to be a trust fund baby...people say money doesn't buy happiness, but to be happy and then have money would be a marvellous thing! Think of all the Butter London we could buy! :)
