Mail Haul VI

I've been trying to keep my purchases in check. It may not look like it, but I have. I've decided to put a full out ban on any and all lip products starting now. Last night I throw out at least 20 glosses that were getting a little... outdated. The sad part? Most had only been used once or twice and it has only been a few months since my last lip clear out.Err... Whatever didn't fit in my storage box and wasn't worthy of display, got the boot. Out with the old, and on with the haul!

First up, a fave of mine, Well.ca. I find that a lot of stuff is available from them before it is at my local Shopper's and the prices are usually cheaper too. I initially was just ordering the bobby pins and the Nature Luxe foundation (review)- it was on sale, my tube is almost empty, and I love it. Trifecta! I also ended up with Maybelline Mega Plus Mascara, Vasanti Eyeshadow Duo in Mount Rushmore, and Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Peach.

Up next, YvesRocher.ca. I have had a lot of great products from Yves, but I hate how they hound you to order with continual mailings. That said they had a bunch of 2 for 1 offers and I wanted to get my mom a bottle of the new Moni Eau des Vahines perfume. My mom always used to use their Gardenia Oil (back in the day it was coconut based, so it was firm at room temperature. I remember her heating the bottle in a sink of hot water so she could use it.) If you are a fan of tropical scents (that have more depth than just coconut) this one is a must try. I also picked up a few hair products, the Detangling Styling Water, and Raspberry Rinsing Vinegar. On a whim, I added the Velvety Cleansing Milk and a soft purple lipstick.

Last, and no, not mail, a wee little drugstore haul. I went in with a $50 budget for a few specific things I was looking for. They had none of them. I wandered around, but didn't see much that seemed worth while. I did see the new Essence polishes. The bottles are so cute! The display was pretty picked over, but I did get Modern Romance (peachy-pink) and Stuck on You (dirty shimmering navy). And, hiding way down low were a bunch of Annabelle items on clearance (marked down to $4.99 from $11.99) The selection was quite large, I'm wondering if they're re-vamping their packaging? The Le Big Show mascara was a no brainer (I'm always up to trying a new mascara) and the Skin True foundation; well, I thought it was concealer at first, as they testers were in front and blocking the bottles. I tried the tester on my hand and it actually seemed like a nice formula. I can gamble on a $5 foundation.

Nothing super extravagant, but I'm looking forward to trying my new goods. Have you hauled anything lately?
