NIP+FAB Dark Circle Fix Triple Action Eye Cream

Following yesterday's Nip+Fab review, I thought I may as well continue with another product I've been using lately: Nip+Fab Dark Circle Fix Triple Action Eye Cream. I know I've said in the past that I'm not entirely sure about the effectiveness of most eye creams (just facial moisturizer in a small pot and a higher price? think about it people...) but the lure of reducing my dark circles was too much for me. I had to give this one a try. Oh, and it might have been half off too...

"Dark Circle Fix is 3-In-1 formula, clinically proven to reduce under eye puffiness and tighten the skin around the eye area.
A triple action eye cream to reduce the appearance of puffiness + dark circles, this refreshing cream hydrates the skin to help fight against premature aging." -Nip+Fab

I like how this is not housed in your typical pot, but a bottle with a handy little dispenser. You can easily customize how much or little (you don't need much of this) you need dispensed. I like little details like that. The problem? It only worked for a few days and then it started dispensing much like angry ketchup- a sporadic, splattery mess. I opened the top to see that the bottle is supposed to be able to suction the product into the dispenser, but it just isn't strong enough. I now have to keep the bottle upside down, which is all kinds of awkward thanks to it's rounded top, to allow for proper dispensing.

Packaging issue aside, the product is quite nice. It's a light textured moisturizer, with almost a gel-cream type consistency that is light but still hydrating. I've been using this as part of my nightly skincare routine for almost two months, and have seen some slight differences in the under eye area. I really didn't think that it would make much of a difference in terms of lightening my dark circles, but I think it actually may have. Nothing so astoundingly that I can toss all my concealer, but a tad- something is better than nothing, right?  I can't say if this can reduce puffiness, as I don't suffer from puffy eyes, I get the ever so attractive sunken in look... but this does moisturize really well.

Overall, I like this eye cream. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to re-purchase it, but I would defiantly recommend it if you're looking for something to try out - just don't expect miracles! The brand is of British origin, and not readily accessible, but is available in North America at Shopper's Drug Mart (Canada) and Target (US). Have you tried this product or any others from the brand? What did you think?

 Price: $28.99 for 15 ml.
