NYX Powder Blush: Angel, Pinched and Terra Cotta

It's fine and dandy to cut back one's spending, but every now and then one needs to splurge. Even just a bit. I've been being very mindful of my spending lately, but I did happen to have a little haul that consisted of a few polishes and a few blushes. I happened to pick up something I've been meaning to try for years: NYX Powder Blush.

I was a bit skeptical as to how these would pan out, but they're so inexpensive that I really wouldn't be out much if I ended up with duds. Luckily, I ended up with three fantastic new blushes. They're smooth, super soft, nicely pigmented and blend easily. The colours I chose ended up being pretty fantastic as well, but with 27 shades in the NYX catalog, there is certainly going to be something for everyone.

Angel looks like a beige blush in the pan, but once swatched it is a neutral, dusty, pale pink. This is a great shade for fall and winter and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it.

 NYX Powder Blush in Pinched

Pinched is a peach tinted pink with a slight golden sheen. There is some question as to weather this is a NARS Orgasm dupe, but I don't have it so no comparison from me. What I've been able to tell (based on other comparisons) is that Pinched is very close, but a itty bit darker. The colour is quite gorgeous, and the gold shimmer is very fine and adds a 'lit from within' quality to the shade.

NYX Powder Blush in Terra Cotta

Terra Cotta is a peached bronze shade. It is quite similar to NARS Luster. It is a really pretty neutral toned blush, that also happens to be perfect for fall.

Ig had to try them on too... I told her a brush would have been easier, but...

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my selections, and I can totally see a few more shades making their way to me. I'll likely end up de-potting them and making a pallet as the individuals can take up a fair bit of space on their own. Have you tried these blushes? Which shades do you love?
