30 Day Music Challenge- Day 2: Least Favourite Song

Coloured vinyl seriously makes my heart skip a beat! I have a mighty fine record collection, but only have one, ONE coloured record. It's translucent red. It's a shitty record, that I've never listened to (some Bryan Adams, from the 80's) but I keep it

a) Because it's red, and that is pretty awesome. RED, people!
b) My dad bought it for my mom.

She's never listened to Bryan Adams either, and thought it was the dumbest thing to be given, but I'm thinking my dad probably bought it because it was red too.

Today's challenge is an odd one: Your least favourite song. What? I initially was going to just pick a song I hate, which, let's just say I'd have a lot to choose from, but then I took the time to really think about the challenge. Least Favourite. Huh...

I ended up choosing Weezer's 'Hash Pipe'. It's one doozy of a terrible song, but it's wedged right between two good ones on Weezer (aka The Green Album, 2001.) Now would be a good time to sum up my musical tastes... I fall into the mainly indie category, but I have a soft spot for catchy melodies and poppy elements. Okay, I love good pop. Not the mainstream pop you're likely thinking of, but smart, retro tinged, good pop.

I never listened to Weezer when they were in 'their prime', which was sometime in the mid 90's (Weezer and Pinkerton, respectively.) When I did start listening to them, I fell hard and fast. The Green Album, honestly, isn't as good as their earlier records, but it did have some incredibly fun pop songs. Island in the Sun and Hash Pipe were the only singles, as far as I can remember.... Island in the Sun is just pure pop goodness (the first thousand times you hear it, then you want to gauge your ears out.) And, a video full of Rivers Cuomo lolling about with baby animals? Cute overload! But,Hash Pipe. Ugh. Worst. Song. Ever? Not that pop needs to be understandable, but this just makes no sense.

What's your least favourite song?
