Hearts! It may be an exceptionally girly thing to love, but I do. A little heart motif here and there is never a bad thing in my opinion. I think it That's why I was so excited to try these little heart studs from Born Pretty Store. These golden studs are a quick (and relatively easy!) way to inject a little bit of cute into any manicure.
These studs are available in both gold and silver, but I have the gold variety. Gold usually isn't my first choice, but these aren't a harsh yellow gold, they're a softer gold, with a slightly brushed looking finish. Unlike other studs I've used, these aren't flat. They have a bit of a curve to them which makes them lay a bit better on your nails, which is a plus, but that plus their slightly larger size, means you can't just add them anywhere on your nails. I initially was thinking of a completely different look to add these into, but the slight curve made them look awkward when I tried to place them on the corners of my nail. These work better for designs where they will be in the center of your nail.
Also, these little guys come securely packed in a zip top bag. The bag is super easy to stash away with all of your other nail art goodies and seals amazingly well. Maybe try and remember to open the bag before you start painting your nails though... just saying.

As you can see, these are definitely cute once on! I'm thinking I should have used two hearts, vertically, but one adds just a little bit of visual interest to an otherwise plain look. I like that these hearts have a bit of dimension, but are still relatively low in profile.
Overall, these are super cute and would make a fantastic addition to any Valentine's Day looks. What do you think of these studs? Yay or Nay?

When I was working on this post, someone on tv uttered the words 'say it ain't so' and this song popped into my head instantly. It was one of those instances when I knew I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything until I listened to it, a few times, okay, maybe it's still on repeat...
