DS Laboratories Revita High Performance Hair Stimulating Shampoo and Revita.COR Conditioner

I've always found reviewing fragrance and mascara to be tricky. They're just such personal items. A review is helpful, but only to a certain degree, you really only know what you're working with until you work with it for yourself. You know? I think I'll add shampoo/conditioner to the list. Although tricky, it's tricky for another reason: there isn't a whole lot you can say about shampoo and conditioner. That, and there are only so many ways to photograph bottles, before they just look like the same bottle, shot from twenty different angles.

I'm not one to spend a whole lot of money on my shampoo. Normally if it's anything more than $10, it's not for me. I'll spend a bit more on conditioners, but I have to know they'll work. With that in mind, it should be clear that I had absolutely no notions that I would love this shampoo/conditioner duo. But you know what? I love it! I don't know if it's the shampoo or the conditioner or the combination of both, but these products make my hair look (and feel!) amazing!!

My hair is on the long side, and is over-due for a trim. It is fairly healthy, but of course, not picture perfect. When I use this shampoo/conditioner it looks like a whole new head of hair. It's shinier, smoother, silkier... I'm out of 's' words here.... sexier! That's a good one. What's better than how I thought my hair looked, was the fact that other people noticed too. It was compliment city! Never a bad place to visit.

Now, I can't really speak to the claims that this will stimulate hair growth, but I do tend to have a dry scalp, especially in the colder months. Going around scratching your scalp definitely isn't cute, but I do think that this shampoo/conditioner have helped, as I haven't had the itchiness. The ends of my hair also tend to be dry, and I have noticed that they do seem softer, not only the day I wash my hair, but also afterwards, making me think that whatever it is in these products has made some sort of difference. I should note that these products are sulfate free, making them safe for colour treated hair.

Overall, I'm seriously loving these two products. I've started rationing them as my 'special occasion' shampoo/conditioner because they really make my hair look that good. No point wasting an amazing hair day on a lazy day at home. I never thought I'd be the type to spend $30 some odd dollars on my shampoo and conditioner (each!) but I love how these make my hair look, so it might just be me after all. Do you use a specific shampoo/conditioner? What's your go-to? Do tell!
