Acrylic Lipstick Storage

Lipsticks never used to be my 'thing.' I'd pick one up every now and then, but I didn't use them all that often. I'm not sure when that changed, but I realized I was beginning to stash it everywhere. I had a few in the top of a little drawer, a few in a cup, a bunch in an empty Glossy Box, a few in the bathroom. I they were getting out of hand. I decided that A) I needed to give my collection a bit of a sort through and B) I needed a better storage system.

I headed to my favourite place for acrylic storage- eBay! You never know what you'll find, but chances are you'll find something worth while- and boy did I....

 24 Stand Acrylic Lipstick Organizer

I found these lipstick organizers- I like to think of them as lipstick stadium seating, since as you can see, they look like little lipstick seats. Anyway, these were at steal at $4.99 with free shipping.(EDIT: since originally posting this, the listing has been edited. Shipping is now $1.30) Being the smart person that I am, I assumed that there was no way I could have more than 48 lipsticks and only ordered two. Fail. I had a sort through and now have a bag full to share with friends, since you know, there is only so much lipstick one person can use.

It also seems that Avon lipsticks don't fit all that well because they're wider in the middle, but those were the only ones that didn't fit in the spaces. Overall, I'm super happy with these little guys. I bought them here from the seller fzcstore. I should add, I am in no way affiliated with the seller, I'm just sharing my great buy!

These little stands did inspire a bit of an organization switch up on my vanity/desk. I still have some shelving to go up above this space, which will clear up most of the clutter; but for now, it's looking not bad. I managed to move my large storage cube into the middle corner of my desk which gives me a lot more room. Bonus! Someday I'll have my system complete, and I'll be able to give you all a storage tour! I don't know about you, but I'm slightly obsessed with seeing how other bloggers store their collections. Have any tips?
