mark. Nailed It Trend Mini Nail Lacquers- Sorbet Shades

Oh, blog fans... I had such a jam packed schedule of posts planned for last week, but I just wasn't feeling it. Actually it was the typing, the idea of clacking away at the keyboard was just so unappealing for some reason. Now, if I had only had a personal typist I could have dictated to... I would have been unstoppable!

But, it seems I'm stuck being my own typist, so I figured I better start getting back to business, and what better a way to start than with two itty, bitty, candy coloured, pastel polishes from mark.

Free Value Box for Former Glymm Members

Canadian beauty box subscribers might have heard about the demise of Glymm Box. If you haven't there is an excellent article about what went down here.

I'm bringing this up because I got a very interesting email from Nail Polish Canada. They are offering a $25 value box to anyone who can email them proof that they were a Glymm member. How awesome is that? I love that a Canadian company is stepping up to do a solid for our beauty community, especially when they had nothing to do with what went down. I loved Nail Polish Canada before, but know I super love them!

For full details on how to claim your value box, head to here. There are some top notch items available, and you get some choice as to what you receive. Were you a Glymm subscriber?

Avon Always on Point Eyeliner

Another day, yet another pencil... I totally wasn't over exaggerating when I said I was experiencing an influx in liners, but you know what? These are so neat, I really don't mind at all. You might be wondering what could be so interesting, they just look like your basic eyeliners, but you would be wrong. So wrong! Want to find out what makes these so magical?

Etude House Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Colour- Peach Sugar Cake and Blueberry Cheesecake

A few weeks ago, I swatched what has to be one of the cutest nail polishes ever- this guy here- and hinted that i may have caved and ordered a few other Sweet Recipe Collection items... I just couldn't help myself, they're just so cute! I ended up with the Cupcake all Over Colour in Peach Sugar Cake and Blueberry Cheesecake.

NYX Wonder Pencil- Light

Another day, another pencil... I considered posting something else, since yesterdays post -Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude and Light Blue (here) was pretty similar, but at the same time, the similarities kind of work with each other. You know?

You might be thinking 'How many nude pencils do you need?' Prbably only one, but in my defence I ordered this with a few other NYX goodies before I found the Rimmel ones in store. I thought you might like a little peek at NYX's take and see how it compares to the similarly priced Rimmel version. Yes? Let's get to it!

Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners- Nude and Light Blue

As of late, I've had quite a few new eyeliners enter my life. So many that my cup literally runneth over- seriously, I keep my liners in a cup, and it's beyond full. But, I don't really mind when it's full of the creamiest, smoothest liners to be found. And, it pretty much is- lucky me! Two of my most recent liners happen to be just that, in the form of Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude and Light Blue.

Recent Favourites II

You might have noticed that unlike many bloggers, I don't do monthly favourites. A month just passes by too fast for me, so I opted to forgo the monthly time line, and just post a few favourites when ever the mood hit me. Like now!

Okay, so it might have been last week, but I put quite a bit of thought into my selections. I find it's really easy to get carried away, so I've tried to only select my most beloved products of late.Still, this might be a long one... So, go make a tea, grab a cookie and settle in for a little beauty chat.

Nivea Lip Butter - Vanilla and Macadamia

If there is one thing that you honestly, just can't have enough of, it has to be lip balm. I like to keep one in all the essential places: makeup bag, purse, bedside, desk, bathroom, living room... basically, if there is a place I am going to be, there had better be a lip balm in the vicinity. You just never know when a lip emergency could ensue. You know?

The newest soldier in my lip balm army- Nivea Vanilla and Macadamia Lip Butter- may be a new recruit but an impressive one at that.

Skinetica Anti-Blemish Treatment

For those of you twenty-something-ish ladies reading this, I bet most of you can remember being a teen, staring at the abomination (aka a breakout) on your face and rationalizing that 'Yes, this sucks now, but in a few short years, I won't have to deal with this shit anymore!'

Riiiiight...I don't quite know where that factoid came from, but thanks to stress and that super-happy-awesome time of the month (aka hormones) most of us still breakout from time to time. Ugh!  While I am pleased to say I don't breakout in the same fashion I did as a teen, I can unfortunately say that I do, still have the odd blemish rear it's awful little head. Boo! Given that fact, when the opportunity to test out Skinetica -an anti-blemish treatment- came along, I took it.

Revlon Selects: Nude and Neon feat. Revlon Colourstay Longwear Nail Enamel in Nude Beige

I feel like a neglectful blogger- In preparations to take my little blog set up on the road (I'm going to be house/pet sitting, starting tomorrow) I haven't posted anything. I've got a plethora of posts half ready, just sitting in draft. You can't really see them if they're in draft, now can you?

To my surprise, I received a few Revlon nail goodies from the Revlon Selects program- I thought it was a one time thing, so I was quite surprised. The first item I ended up using was the Revlon Colourstay Long Wear Nail Enamel in Nude Beige. I love a good nude polish, but seeing as it's Spring, and bright colours are popping up, I thought I'd add a bit of neon flair to an otherwise neutral look.

INPINK Fashion Jewelery Review- feat. Essie Butler Please

Hello, blog fans! I took a bit of a long weekend off from blogging, as you might have noticed- it was strange. Most of the time I had this nagging feeling that I should be working on something. To be honest, I did cheat and edited a bunch of photos.... Holy exciting weekend right? Then with yesterday's incident, it didn't feel all right for a totally different reason. Anyway,

I did go on a little outing over the weekend, which gave me the perfect opportunity to wear some new accessories I was sent from INPINK. Let's take a look!

Avon Flor Violeta Eau de Parfum Spray

I am not very educated when it comes to what most flowers smell like- or what most are even named, for that matter- but one that I know I like are violets. My nan always had violets in her house, actually, mass quantifies of them. I think they duplicated at night... I'll admit that their fuzzy little green leaves kind creeped me out, but the little purple flowers and soft scent can't be beat.

That said, it can be hard to come by violet scented products, so I was excited to get a sniff of Avon Flor Violeta.

Avon Glow Bronzing Makeup Collection- Blusher Bronzer Duos and Marbleized Lip Gloss

You know what Summer Collections mean... Bronzers! I say that with only a small dose of excitement. While I do reach for bronzer every so often, I am very choosy about it and really find that I only need one in my collection to be perfectly happy. I'd say it's the only makeup type item that I don't get all gaga about. That said, pair it with a pretty blush, and I'll definitely perk up a bit. Throw in a few sparkling, marbleized lip glosses, and I'm yours. Clearly Avon gets me; so today we can take a little look at a few items from their newest offering the Avon Glow Bronzing Makeup Collection.

Swatched: Zoya Pixie Dust- Nyx

It seems like 2013 will be the year of textured nails. Pretty much every brand has or will be releasing a form of the trend. I really wasn't sure what to think of it... I love the glossy shine of freshly painted nails so the matte, grittiness of texture just didn't get me all that pumped. That said, I love the idea of something new and that manufacturers are trying to do something different.

Out of the current textured polishes on the marked, Zoya Pixie Dust seemed to be the 'prettiest' in terms of both colour and texture, so I opted to give them a try first. I only chose one shade- Nyx- as a way to test drive the formula. Take a look!

Cargo EyeLighter- Pink

Most of the time, I am informed shopper- I do my research. I am not ashamed about standing in front of a display whist Gooling reviews on my phone. Was that not the whole reason the smart phone was invented; was it not? That said, I can impulse buy with the best of 'em too. One of my recent 'Let's just go with it!' purchases was kind of... I don't don't know, iffy.

Iffy good, iffy bad? Read on to find out.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch- Peach Glow

Considering how long it took me to jump on the highlighter train, I now have quite the weakness for them. Given that, I couldn't help but pick up this little tube - of what I thought was highlighter- when passing by a Rimmel display.

The Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch is an interesting, yet slightly confusing product...

mark Colour Me In Eye and Lip Crayons

The year of the pencil is upon us, ladies! Have you noticed pretty much every product you can think of has been pencil-ified. It's a trend that I kind of love. Not one to miss out on a trend, the beautiful brains at mark have given us their spin on pencil products with their Colour Me In Lip and Eye Crayons in a rainbow of gorgeous shades. I've been using them for a few weeks and have really been enjoying them. Take a look!

Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream - Dry Skin

I was an on again- off again fan of the original version of Garnier Moisture Rescue (review) but I found it never really gave me quite enough hydration to really combat my dry skin, so it was obvious that I should give the Dry Skin formula a try. Only makes sense, right? Don't you love when things just work out like that? I do. Let's take a look.

Maybelline Master Duo 2-in-1 Glossy Liquid Liner- Bronzed Shimmer

I go through phases when it comes to eyeliner. I can go for months without using it and then out of nowhere be all about a really defined eye. Lately, I've been all about a defined eye, as I've been testing Maybelline Master Duo 2 in 1 Glossy Liquid Liner (breathe...) in Bronzed Shimmer. It's one mouthful of a name, but a rather fine liner once you get used to it.

Swatched: Etude House Sweet Recipe Icecream Nails- Mintchoco Chip

You might know that I have a particular fondness for Asian cosmetics/skincare- mostly the latter, but still- there's just something about their products that I love. I've yet to find an Asian skincare item I didn't love, but often times the cutesy packaging is what draws me in. Based on what I've seen around the blog-sphere, Etude House's most recent collection - Sweet Recipe- has done just that.

I initially tried to ignore it. It's a collection of dessert themed items that run the gamut from chocolate bars, cupcakes, ice cream and such. I just couldn't do it. I just had to get myself something. That something ended up being Icecream Nails in Minitchoco Chip. Just look at it, it's an ice cream cone! Want a taste?

Mary Kay Zen in Bloom Collection Mineral Eye Colour in Garden Sky and Beauty That Counts Compact Mini

I have one last item from Mary Kay's Zen in Bloom Collection. I've shown you the lips (here) and I've shown you the tips (here) and now, it's time to take a look at the eyes in the form of Garden Sky Mineral Eye Colour and a few of it's friends.

Let's get right to it!
