Avon Colour Precise Lipstick

The allure of a new lipstick... I really don't think many of us- at least anyone who is reading a beauty blog *coughs*that would be you*coughs- can pass up a new tube of clourful goodness. So you can only imagine my excitement when I not only got a few new lipsticks, but not just your average old round lipstick... diamond lipstick!

Avon Colour Precise Lipstick- Fuchsia Flash*, Definite Peach*, Infallible Mauve*, and Really Red* 3.6g $9.99

'Diamond-shape tip keeps feather-proof colour in line and fills lips with moisturizing stay-true shades. Formulated with vitamin e, honey, and aloe extracts to instantly moisturize. Available in twelve luscious shades.' - Avon

I don't think I need to say it again, but I will anyway: Avon knows how to make a great lipstick. They've done it again with these- the formula is excellent! Great pigmentation, comfortable, moisturizing formula, and a bit of shine. The only thing I don't love is the scent of these. It's kind of fruity, but also kind of cosmetic... I don't love it, but it does wear away quite quickly after application.

What makes this line a bit- okay, a lot- different than your average tube is the shape! I wasn't sure the diamond shape would be a good fit on lips, but it really does allow for really precise application. The flat edges make getting colour right up to the lip line a cinch and the tip fits perfectly into curves making application faster too.

Avon Colour Precise Lipstick- Fuchsia Flash*

Fuchsia Flash is a whitened take on fuchsia, making this shade read more like a pink than fuchsia. Regardless, it's a really wearable shade. It's slightly bright, making this a great shade to reach for when super bright shades might not be appropriate or your not as comfortable rocking them.

Avon Colour Precise Lipstick- Definite Peach*

Definite Peach is an orangey-apricot with light frost. I know. FROST. That can be a scary word in the land of lipsticks, but the frost in this is light enough that it doesn't read as something right out of 1982. The frost finish does seem to make lip lines look more accentuated though, so I like to add a little bit of clear gloss on this to even it out.

Avon Colour Precise Lipstick- Infallible Mauve*

Infallible Mauve is a gorgeous fuchsia tinged lavender. I wouldn't describe this as mauve, but it's all kind of gorgeous and a must have for purple lip fans. I love a good purple lip, which is odd because purple is not a colour I tend gravitate towards a lot in my everyday life- says the girl wearing a purple cardigan... Apparently I'm a conundrum.

 Avon Colour Precise- Really Red*

Really Red is a warm red with golden shimmer. The shimmer isn't gritty, and not over powdering, but it does give a bit of flare. I love this shade, and I'm not a huge wearer of reds.

Overall, these are great lipsticks! The diamond shape is more than just a novelty, as it really does make application more precise than it's round cousins. Have you tried these? What do you think of the shape?
