Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme-Plump Lip Shine

If the average woman ends up consuming seven pounds of lip gloss a decade - if you choose to believe the 'experts', I don't see how that would ever be possible... anyway, how much are the above average users eating? Kind of scary to think of, isn't it?  Okay, maybe we'll just stop thinking about that....

What prompted my pondering on such a subject was Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme-Plump Lip Shine and it's oh-so-tasty scent, but that's getting ahead of myself... Read on for all the plump details (see what I did there?)

'A super-sizing, extra-strength collagen clear lip shine with LIPSWELL™ natural plant oil infusion, SUPERFILL™ nanovectors and VISIVOLUME™ immediate effect lip filler gloss' -Soap & Glory

I'll admit that I have a love/hate relationship with lip plumpers. While I don't particularly seek them out, I'm totally game to try them when they find me. I seem to have had mainly negative experiences with them- the ones that burn and tingle so much that it's downright painful and the ones that just don't do anything.

The words 'Extreme' and 'XL' do seem a bit scary, but not only is this plumper effective (honestly, more on that soon...) but it also has a rather pleasant tingle. When you first apply it, it doesn't do much, but after a minute it begins to lightly tingle. It warms a bit and continues to tingle and work it's magic for a while longer. It's not a constant tingle, somehow it starts and stops, with the whole process taking about fifteen minutes.

The gloss itself has an excellent formula- it's not really thick, it's not sticky and feels really comfortable on. It doesn't have any taste, but it does have a really tasty scent- a cocoa-vanilla blend that is really pleasant. I've found that this wears for about 4-5 hours before wearing completely away, while the plumping aspect lasts for an hour or so.

I was quite surprised at how well this really did work, I expected that after the tingling I might notice a smidgen of a difference but nothing major. I was totally able to see that this really did plump my lips! I'm not sure if you can tell very well from my before and afters, but this plumper did make difference without burning and being completely uncomfortable.

Overall, I can say that I love this as a gloss and the plumping aspect is just an added bonus. I have the clear version of this- which can be applied over lip liner or lipstick- but there is also a nude version available. What's your take on plumping glosses? Yay or nay?
