Yves Rocher Sublime Skin BB Cream

Although I have found an Asian BB cream that I love- this one, I still get the urge to try out North American ones from time to time. The last time that urge struck, I ended up with Yves Rocher Sublime Skin BB Cream. I've yet to try a Yves Rocher product I didn't love and have had especially good experiences with their foundations, so I figured their take on BB cream could be a worth while gamble.

 Ingredients

'Yves Rocher reveals it's secret for perfect skin in one beauty step: The combination of White Tea, recognized for its properties for protecting the skin, and Pigments, which unify the complexion and revive the skin's radiance, in a light melting texture. These pigments have the amazing power to make the skin instantly more beautiful. White Tea, combined with Aphloia extract, protects the skin from external aggressions.' - Yves Rocher

I won't give you the run around- I love this BB cream! It's not exactly the same formulation as an Asian one, but it's pretty close and overall is all kinds of fantastic!

I have the shade light- there are currently only two shades available, light and dark- which looks rather pink when you first see it, but it's the perfect shade on me. For reference, I have a pretty neutral skin tone, I usually wear the second lightest shade, and am on the lighter side of NW20.

The texture of this BB cream is slightly thick, but also creamy and easy to buff on. I apply this with my regular foundation brush, and apply it in the same method I would foundation. This smooths onto skin with, well, no effort. It's nicely moisturizing, but I still moisturize before hand as I do have drier skin. I love that this glides on easily over drier patches of skin and enlarged pores. I quite often have trouble with foundation not laying properly on my nose- it seems no matter how well maintained my skin is, foundations just sink into the pores on my nose and can look terrible. I had no issues with this BB cream at all! You don't know how happy that makes me.

The coverage of this is light to light/medium and incredibly natural. When applied, it looks like my skin, but so much better. If I'm feeling like I really want to be 'put together' I'll add some concealer over my ance scars on my chin/neck area, as they're still visible with this, but most of the time I leave them as is.

When I was taking pictures of my glasses, I realized I was wearing this BB cream, so naturally it made sense to give you a little peek at what it looks like on. I'd been wearing this for about 4-5 hours, and you can see that the finish is quite natural- my freckles can still be seen, but my skin looks even, smooth and clear. While I don't normally have shine issues, BB creams do tend to make me a tad oilier, so I did use powder through my t-zone and under my eyes to set my concealer. I didn't touch up at all through out the day, and by the time I removed this I wasn't shiny, which was great.

Overall, I'd say that if you've got any sort of interest in BB creams, then this is totally one worth trying. Don't pay full price though! Yves Rocher is almost always having some sort of sale- I got my tube for about $16. This is a great BB cream for the summer months, as it feels light on skin and has such a natural finish. Do be sure to pop on an SPF though, as unlike most BB creams this one does not contain any sun protection. I'd say that's the only negative that I can think of, other than there being no shade for deeper skin tones. Do you like BB creams? Have you tried this one?
