Avon Extra Lasting Makeup- Lip Gloss, Lipstick and Concealer

See? I told you no more nail posts *coughs*for now*coughs*. I do have a few items from Avon's newest offering in the form of their Extra Lasting Makeup. I have a few of the lip glosses, a lipstick and a concealer. Read on!

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Constant Coral*, Longtime Lavender*, Continuous Copper*, Always Apple* | Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick- Mauve Ice* | Avon Extra Lasting Concealer- Medium*

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Constant Coral*, Longtime Lavender*, Continuous Copper*, Always Apple* 3g $12

Lip gloss is one of those products that I don't really mind how long it lasts. It's usually pretty easy to slick a bit more on throughout the day. That said, I do like the idea of not having to do that at all. You know?

The Avon Extra Lasting Lipglosses claim to last eight hours, and to some extent, they do... but do will you really want to wear them that long? When applied the formula is decent- mildly sticky, but not too bad, but the longer you wear these the tackier they get. After a few hours they feel kind of dry yet sticky, so they're really only best for about 5 hours, at which time you'll want to remove what you're wearing and reapply a fresh layer. That aside, I do like these, especially when used in combination with lipstick. As some of these are sheer they just add a bit of shimmer and dimension, while keeping lipstick in it's place.

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Constant Coral*

Constant Coral is a sheer coral shade with pink and golden shimmer.

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Longtime Lavender*

Longtime Lavender is light lavender shade with pink and silver shimmer. It also happens to be the sheerest of the bunch.

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Continuous Copper*

Continuous Copper is a bronzey tan with golden shimmer. It's the quintessential summer shade, that will look pretty amazing with a tan. It's not a totally opaque shade, but does have a fair bit of pigmentation.

Avon Extra Lasting Lip Gloss- Always Apple*

Always Apple is a true red with tonal shimmer. This shade is quite opaque and very pretty.

Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick- Mauve Ice* 3g $12

Mauve Ice is a reddy-mauve with a bit of and icy shimmer. In the tube, I really didn't think that I'd like this shade, but on lips, it's quite nice.

Avon claims that this formula will wear for 24 hours- why is that even necessary? Which I didn't test, but it does wear quite well and will last you about 5-6 hours. I expected this to either be stiff and dry when applying it or gradually dry out my lips, but I didn't really experience either. Application was smooth and easy- there is even a bit of shine to the formula. I did find that by hour 4-5 my lips were a little dry, but nothing all that unusual.

Avon Extra Lasting Concealer- Medium* 8g $12

I received the shade Medium, which is a bit dark for me, but if I apply it before my foundation I can make it work, although I wasn't sure if I'd want to. I don't know about you, but I've yet to use a 'long wearing' foundation that I really liked, so the appeal of using one that claims to wear for 18 hours was a bit iffy.

Buuut... I actually like this one! I usually suffer from migrating/creasing concealer, but I've found this one does stick around where it's supposed to. I still find I need to powder it to avoid creasing (everything creases on me) but this really does wear quite well. It's only just gotten really warm here, so I haven't given the ol' heat/humidity test, but I'd say it should hold up pretty well.
