Mary Kay Limited Editon Beauty That Counts Lipstick and Lip Gloss

Greetings Blogfans! After a mini hiatus (spent completely ODing on the Sims... seriously, I have a problem) I am back. From time to time I get so that I loose my 'flow'. I sit at my computer with a title and photos, but I just can't seem organize the rest. Moments like that make me wish I was a youtuber...

I'll likely spend the weekend furiously blogging, in some form of attempt to catch up. So let's get to this, yes? First up two very fine lip products in the form of Mary Kay Limited Edition Beauty That Counts Cream Lipstick in One Woman Can and NouriShine Plus Lip gloss in Celebrate. And, they're swirly! I'm a fan of swirly.

Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Cream Lipstick - One Woman Can

It should be obvious by now that these are two really good looking products, but what really makes them special is the fact that from May 16th to August 15th Mary Kay Canada will donate $1 from the sale of each to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation in its efforts to support women living with cancer through the Look Good Feel Better program and to help end violence against women by providing grants to women's shelters and community outreach programs. I love when companies run initiatives like this. If it's something you're going to buy anyway, it's kind of nice knowing you're also doing a bit of good for something bigger than yourself at the same time.

Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Cream Lipstick - One Woman Can

One Woman Can combines previous Beauty That Counts lipstick shades Compassion and Inspiration swirled together to create a universally flattering berry toned shade. Beacuase of the swirl action you kind of have to twirl the tube to get an even colour applied, but the shade is really pretty with a hint of shimmer and shine.

Having never have used a Mary Kay lipstick, I didn't know what to expect from the formula, but oh my! It's very nice. It feels light on, more like a balm than a lipstick, feels moisturizing, and wore for much longer than I expected. Usually lighter lipsticks don't last around as long as heavier formulas but this wore for about 5 hours before starting to wear away.

Celebrate combines the shades Cream & Sugar and Pink Parfait, swirled together to create a shimmering baby peachy-pink. Looking at the tube, I wasn't sure the gold swirl would create a very appealing shade, but it's what adds the peach tones to the milky pink shade. Formula wise, this is a really great gloss. It's lightly pigmented, but enough to read as colour on my lips (it might not be very effective on more pigmented lips though) and feels light on lips. This would definitely be a great gloss for those that don't like gloss as it lacks the sticky factor and feels moisturizing. The tube seems a bit small for the price, but it's a matter of quality over quantity.

Overall, I am really loving both of these products! What are you sporing on your lips?
