avon nail art design strips

I love nail art but the fact that I can ruin a manicure in merely a day, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to spend hours perfecting it. While I do dabble with it occasionally, it's so faster (and easier!) to pop on a set of nail strips/wraps/stickers. Choose which ever word works best for you.

That was why I was quite intrigued to see how well the Avon Nail Art Design Strips would fare. With a whopping 19 designs right off the bat, there is defiantly something for everyone's taste. Want to see more? Read on!

Holy variety! I received seven of the 19 styles (plus the one I bought, but you'll see that in a moment) and I am baffled by how intricate and these are. It might not be visible in all of the photos, but almost all of these designs have some sort of 3D element, ranging from glitter, stones, or raised textures. Even designs I likely wouldn't have chosen for myself have won me over. The designs range from fun and colourful, to more mature and elegant. The 'Bow For You' is one of my favourites out of the bunch, as it has silvery-white bows made out of little stones on a navy base. Classy but cute!

Avon Nail Art Design Strips- Swirled Blues

The design that I wore first (and am presently wearing) is Swirled Blues. It's got a white base with metallic silver dots running through it, with blue swirls and flowers over that. There is some texture to the design, mainly coming from the metallic dots.

These are super easy to apply- you just stick them on and file the excess. I used a top coat (Essie To Dry For) to seal the free edge and had no rippling or issues. They don't mention you should do that, but it is a great way to help prolong wear and prevent lifting at the edges. The wraps are thin and have some stretch so it's easy to apply them evenly. I had no issues when trying to get them to lay flat and had zero wrinkling. There are 18 strips in each package, and they're on a clear plastic film, making it easy to determine which size will fit each finger. Size options were great, I only needed to trim one of the thumbs which was just a tad too big.

I've been wearing these for two days now and they look just as good as when I put them on. I assume they'll likely last 5-7 days before they'll need to be removed. Removal should be easy, as these are supposed to just peel off. UPDATE: I got five full days of wear before I removed these. When I removed them they still had not begun to peel (crazy, because everything peels on me), but I had chipped a small corner off of one nail. Removal was super easy- they just peel off. There was a bit of glue residue, but it rubbed off easily. There was no damage to my nails and they looked as good before as after.

Overall, I really love these! I'll be sure to post NOTDs as I wear more of the designs. I think Mosaic Flowers will be next. At the regular price of $10, they're not exactly economical compared to your average nail polish, but these have been on sale for $6.99 steady since their release, which makes them cheaper than many other popluar versions. Stock up now, you're going to love them! Have you tried these? Which designs do you like?
