sally hansen fuzzy coat- fuzzy fantasy and all yarned up

Hello, Blogfans!

I inadvertently skipped a few posts, but I swear I had a good reason. You see, I fell into an Orange is the New Black coma. It's so good! I ended up watching the whole season in three days. At first I only downloaded a few episodes, but the more I watched the better it got. Seriously, if you're not watching it, you need to. I am so excited for the second season!

Since I have nothing left to watch, I had some free time to swatch these new Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polishes. Read on!

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat- All Yarned Up, Fuzzy Fantasy, Fuzz-Sea, Peach Fuzz, Tight Knit, Tweedy, Wool Knot and Wool Lite

'Imagine textured nails with 3D fabric finishes in a flash! Transform your manicure with Sally Hansen's newest nail innovation: Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Colour.

Taking inspiration from the strong textural themes at the latest runway shows, Sally Hansen has developed a new, exclusive special effect formula that makes nails the focal point of any look. The breakthrough formula goes where no nail colour has gone before, creating eye-catching optical effects and adding lust-worthy texture to your manicure. Blurred, woven and marbled fiber looks resembling hand-spun yarn are combined in a multidimensinal network of colour to create a matte finish with a fibered texture effect.' - Sally Hansen

These aren't exactly new if you follow blogs, as these were introduced in the States a while ago, but these are new to Canada as of this month. I didn't know that, and have looked for them in stores, obviously never finding them. Having seen these, and other polishes of the same effect, I wasn't quite sure what to think of the effect. I think these are definitely something to try /see in person if you're on the fence as they do look different in person compared to photos.

Fuzzy Factory is made up of white and appley-green pieces in a clear base. The 'fuzzies' are similar to linear/hair glitter but not reflective. There is a fair amount of clear base compared to pieces, and I found that it applied easiest to dab it on as opposed to brush. I was able to use just one coat over OPI Gargantuan Green Grape.

All Yarned Up is made up of pale blue, peach, and pale yellow pieces in a clear base. When all the pieces are together it gives the illusion of a nude shade, so I paired it with OPI Tickle My Francy. This is one coat (dabbed on.)

In the photos shown I did not use a top coat, and as you can see these aren't totally matte and the pieces sit really well on the nail without being bumpy. As I mentioned, I wasn't sure what I thought of the textured/feather look, but after seeing it in person I can say I like it. It's definitely worth trying if you're looking for an easy way to do something a little bit different. Have you tried polishes like these? Do you like the look?
