avon clearskin pore penetrating- scrub, toner & mask

Pores. The scary little (or large...) demons that mockingly stare back at you when you gaze in the mirror too long. No? That's just me?

I have large pores so I am always on the hunt for the best product to keep them in check, so I was excited to put Avon's Clearskin Pore Penetrating range to the test. It doesn't hurt that I love a good scrub and mask. Read on!

Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub* and Black Mineral Mask*

'Featuring Pore-Firming Technology. Formulated with Eucalyptus Extract & Witch Hazel to cleanse and refresh. Lifts away pore-clogging dirt and excess oil.' -Avon

Clearskin Pore Penetrating Invigorating Scrub isn't a new product in the Clearskin range, but it is being re-promoted with the two new products. I've used this scrub in the past and am quite fond of it. It's a pretty substantial scrub, meaning it has a good amount of grit to feel like it's actually done something, but without being too abrasive. It makes skin feel amazingly smooth and clean and with a cool, fresh feel thanks to the menthol. This won't be the best choice for those with really sensitive skin, but for anyone else it is a great scrub to have on hand for a deep clean.

Clearskin Pore Penetrating Cooling Toner is new to the line up and works double duty as toner and as an acne treatment. Formulated with 0.5% salicylic acid, aloe, witch hazel, eucalyptus and menthol it leaves skin feeling extremely cleansed and fresh. The menthol in these products is like a breath-mint for your face- a whoosh of cooling freshness- it's a great feeling. I wouldn't use this as my everyday toner, as it also contains alcohol, but for the times when my skin is acting up or I feel a breakout coming, this is a great toner to switch to for a few weeks.

Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask*

'Unique formula, with oil-absorbing mineral clay, pulls like a magnet to draw out pore-clogging dirt & oil. Skin feels clean and soft.
SEE IT WORK: changes from black to white when it dries.
FEEL IT WORK: cooling sensation as mask starts to tighten and draw out debris.'
-Avon

Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mask is the product I was most excited about, you know I love a great mask! And this is a great mask. It applies black and turns white as it dries so you aren't left guessing when it's ready to be washed off. I love that while it does dry and tighten, it doesn't get so tight that it's uncomfortable or really hard to wash off. Once washed off my skin felt great- clean, soft, and fresh- but not stripped or tight. I noticed that my skin was visibly better and the appearance of my pores was reduced- never a bad thing. Although this doesn't leave my skin feeling dry I do like to follow up with a moisture mask after this to add moisture back to my dry skin. If you've been hankering to try the Origins Clear Improvement Mask, this is incredibly similar (but at a fraction of the price.)

Overall, these are three great products for anyone fighting the pore battle. Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite products for pore maintenance? Tell me, your secrets safe with me...well sort of.
