bcbgmazxazaria bon genre

I just go a new lash curler, and oh, my. It's amazing! That's about all I can say about it for now though. Stay tuned. What I can tell you about is the newest fragrance from BCBGMAXAZARIA which is also pretty amazing. Read on!

'Seductive, mysterious, and intriguing, BCBGMAXAZRIA Bon Genre is a statement-making fragrance inspired by the effortlessly cool sensibility of the urban rocker woman. Both ultra-feminine and daring, BCBG Bon Genre infuses melodic notes of lychee and red berries with spicy black pepper and bergamot. The fragrance opens up into a blend of jasmine noir, tuberose, cardamom, and tiger-lily florals, layering warm amber, Australian sandalwood, patchouli, and black vanilla for a sensual experience that is sure to captivate.'

As much as I love perfume, I have a hard time deciphering if I'll like a scent based on the description. There are perfumes I love the scent of, but when the description sounds nothing like anything I'd choose. You know? That's sort of where I fell with this scent when I first read the notes. Most sound great, but the others- I just didn't know what to think of them. After actually smelling the scent, I can say that I quite like it.

When first sprayed, you get an initial sweetness from the lychee and red berries- which to me, aren't detectable as such- blended with a spicy warmth with the cardamom being the most present of the bunch. As it wears, the amber and vanilla are the most predominant. I didn't expect this scent to have as much sweetness as it does, but I do love a bit of sweet, so that was a pleasant surprise, and the warm spiciness compliments it really well.

Overall, this scent is a really interesting blend. The warmth of it make it a perfect scent to see you through fall. This is also available in a 50ml bottle for $64. Both sizes will be available in Canada sometime in September from Sephora- I just checked and I don't see it on the site just yet. Does this sound like your type of scent? What types of scents do you like to wear in cooler weather?
