yves rocher fall 2013 makeup ft. volume veritage lash curler effect mascara

It's officially Fall, and I really can't think of a better way to ring it in than with a few new makeup goodies! Yves Rocher gets me...They've recently introduced a few new products- Volume Veritage Lash Curler Effect Mascara and Intense Colour Single Eyeshadows- which are sure to become year round favourites. Read on!

'Discover the first brush with a reservoir © which ensures maximum volume upon the first application! As effective as a lash curler, this mascara’s formula will intensify the volume of your lashes! Enriched in Elemi Gum, a fixing botanical extract, it leaves the lashes naturally and perfectly curved for 12 hours.' -Yves Rocher

The star of the show, and my current favourite mascara, is the Volume Veritage Lash Curler Effect Mascara. This is one amazing mascara! It lengthens like crazy, gives great definition and volume, doesn't flake or smudge and hold a beautiful curl. I wouldn't go so far to say that it curls lashes like a lash curler, but when applying this onto curled lashes they stay curled all day. My lashes are relatively long, but lack in the curl department, so I am a lash curler devotee. There is little more annoying than curling your lashes only to apply a mascara that instantly kills the curl. This mascara holds the curl and is just plain amazing. Seriously. It's totally comparable to high end mascaras and actually reminds me of another favourite of mine- YSL Faux Cils.

Also, I have to mention the brush- it's the first mascara brush designed with a resivior to release enough mascara to fully coat lashes without having to dip the brush back into the tube. It works amazingly well and somehow doesn't hold too much product. The stubby little bristles grab every lash too, making this a really quick mascara to apply.

'A creamy powder texture that reveals a rich colour! The Single Eyeshadow Intense Color lasts perfectly for 8h and the colour remains intact for a flawless makeup effect. Inspired by Botanical Color Chart, its trendy shades, from bright to ultra-pigmented offer three different effects : satiny, sparkly and matte to suit all needs and intensify the look of the eyes.' - Yves Rocher

Take all the bad things you think of when you think matte eyeshadow. Yves Rocher have the created one fantabulous matte formula- seriously, I want them all- it's so smooth, silky and pigmented with absolutely no chalkiness. The shade I have is Matte Ash Brown (swatches below) which is a medium ashy brown. The shade is perfect for the crease, but the ashy tone also make this great for brows. The second shade I have- Nude Rose- is a shimmer, in the perfect shade of champagne-pink. It's got a soft shimmer and is perfect for brightening the eye.

'A glamorous volume gloss for ultra-plump and shiny lips! Discover ultra-light, non-sticky texture of Sexy Pulp Volume Gloss that gently plumps lips for a nude lip feeling.
It is available in a variety of ultra-trendy shades, with adjustable, ultra-shiny coverage for a sensual result, whether you choose a natural or intense look.'
-Yves Rocher

The name Sexy Pulp admittedly makes me thing of orange juice, but it is a great gloss too. It's what I'd call a gloss for gloss haters because it's super light-weight and on a sticky factor from 0-10, it would rate a 1. Add to that a super shiny finish with sheer but visible colour and you've got a perfect product.

All together, the above products make a really pretty, everyday look. I was planning on using Matte Ash Brown in the crease, but Nude Rose was made my eyes look so bright and fresh, I decided to use it to smudge out the liner and give a light smoky look. I used a bit of a rosey-pink lip liner on my lips before the gloss and achieve pretty much the same shade the gloss would be if it was opaque. The perfect lip combo!

Overall, you really can't miss with Yves Rocher makeup. The mascara is the standout for me though as it's pretty much the perfect formula. Do you have any Yves Rocher favourites? Will you be trying any of these products?
