You know what I can't stop watching, even though it's completely awful? Four Weddings.
Most of the women on the show are so mean spirited and judgmental... I know it's a 'competition' but still, at the end of the day it's someone's wedding. So what if you didn't like this or that. It's not about you. Granted, the meaner brides do tend to make the show more interesting, and you can't help but watch- and hope they come in last.
What does that have to do with this post, not much... Unlike Four Weddings however, the new items added to the Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal line are far from awful. They're actually pretty amazing, especially if, like me, you tend to suffer from dehydrated skin. Read on!
Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Micellar Water 2-in-1* 200ml $16, Hydrating Day Cream SPF 25* 50ml $27, Moisture Boost Concentrate* 30ml $40, Fresh Gel Undereye Bags* 15ml $24
'Hydra Vegetal, launched last year, was a great success with already more than 2.5 million products sold worldwide in less than a year!
With Hydra Vetgetal, Yves Rocher Botanical Beauty Research reveals that exceptional power of Moisture Capture Botanical Spas and demonstrates not only their hydration but, but also correction potential on the skin. The exclusive combination of saps from Canadian Maple trees and Blue Agave plants from Mexico acts as a barrier that lock-in moisture deep inside the skin.' -Yves Rocher
'This high performance moisture-boosting concentrate, boosts hydration upon the very first application, revitalizes skin from deep within and brings radiance to your skin. Its ultra-fresh texture is a real replenishment of moisture.'
You know how you can use a serum and assume it's doing something for your skin, but you really don't see any signs? That's so not the case here. This is a thin, milky serum that is quite wet feeling, but absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling instantly hydrated. I love this! It's one of those products that you know you love from the first use because it actually does what it claims to. Even if you're happy with your current moisturizer, this would be a great addition to your skincare routine for added hydration before moisturizing.
'This fresh moisturizing and anti-fatigue gel penetrates easily to refresh and relieve puffiness around the eye contour area. The skin is moisturized and the undereye bags are reduced.'
I didn't initially think that I'd benefit much from this product as I don't get puffiness under my eyes- I get the ever-so-attractive sunken in look when tired- but the hydrating boost of this gel won me over. The gel is just that- an thin gel- that cools and soothes skin upon application. It doesn't instantly feel hydrating, but since using it I haven't noticed any dryness and the skin looks and feels hydrated.
'A cleaned and cleansed skin, and hydration as a plus. This fresh and light water eliminates impurities and makeup as it tones the skin in one step. The skin is luminous and moisturized.'
The first micellar I ever used was by Yves Rocher, and it was great, so I was excited about this one. It removes makeup with ease- even mascara and waterproof liner- so it's an automatic winner with me. It's gentle on skin, doesn't irritate eyes, and doesn't require a lot of effort. Not much more you could want, really. It works just was well as that other stuff we all love coughs-Bioderma-coughs and leaves skin lightly moisturized after use.
'A durably moisturized and protected skin. It's comfortable texture intensely moisturizes for 24 hours, while providing UVB protection, for year round use. Leaves skin visibly plumped, fresh and radiantly beautiful.'
This is a fairly thick moisturizer, but it applies with ease and absorbs into skin quickly. It's rich feeling in hand, but is light feeling on skin yet packs a major boost of hydration. It's the type of moisturizer that you can instantly feel working- especially if you have a drier skin type- and is perfect for use before makeup as it is so hydrating but doesn't leave my skin oily throughout the day. I really love this moisturizer and can see myself using it continuously as it really works for my skin.
Overall, this is a really great range of products. Save for the Fresh Gel Undereye Bags- it's not quite the right eye cream for me- I would replace everything in an instant. They all work so well that I don't really want to be without any of them! Right now would be an awesome time to stock up too, as the bulk of the range is on sale for 40-44% off. No better time then the present, they say. Have you tried anything from this range? Do you have a go to lineup of skincare that always works for you? Leave me a comment!
