a very lush halloween!

Boo!

Okay, that didn't scare anyone, but it is the season for spookiness. Halloween will soon be here and it's the perfect time to hop in the tub with a few Lush goodies. Let's get to it!

'This past Mother’s Day we invented an adorable, pink raspberry-scented bubbler called Mumkin. She was so popular that we’ve created Pumkin: her autumn counterpart to help us celebrate the arrival of fall! This mischievous little character has gotten into the Halloween candy early with a candy leaf and a licorice top, so be careful he doesn’t sneak into your candy stash when you’re not looking'

Just look at this little guy! Okay, mine has slightly devious looking eyes- they're hand made, so they will all be that little bit unique- but still... Those little dairy free chocolate drop eyes may make it hard to plop him in the tub, but it's got to be done to let him bubble up and release his orange flower ylang-ylang oil scent. Delicate, yet slightly spicy, it also happens to be the same scent Lush used in their Figs & Leaves soap.

'Slip into our enchanting potion of oats, lavender and sandalwood to calm and soothe your irritated, sensitive skin. If you’re wishing for relief, we can guarantee that this bath melt it will make your skin dreams come true. Rich, nutritious cocoa butter and walnut oil melt into the bath water to quench and soften your dehydrated skin, frothing ever so slightly, leaving you with a muslin bag of whole oats to give your skin a soothing and gently scented scrub for instant relief from redness and itch.'

The Lush Luxury Bath Melts are a pretty amazing product- think bath oil solid form! Ceridwen's Cauldron has an earthy, herbal scent of lavender and sandalwood to sooth and moisturize skin. To use it, you just run it through your hot bath water, so this is also a multi-use product. As someone with pretty much always dry skin, I'm excited to spend a few baths in my own witch's brew.

'It’s not really a Demon; it’s more of an earthy tingly delight for the skin and a wicked refreshment for the senses. Wrapped in a layer of black wax, (which you peel off before you use it, or you won’t get clean!), underneath lies a forest green cleansing treat to suds up dirt-demons.'

I have to say, I am never disappointed with Lush soaps, even scents I don't expect to like end up winning me over. Like Demon in the Dark. It's made with fresh organic apple juice spearmint oil, and peppermint oil which give it a minty- herbal scent. The scent that makes me think of minty cough drops, and it kind of acts like one for your body by leaving skin feeling cool and refreshed.

'Inspired by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, Lord of Misrule brings mischievous revelry to the tub with a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil. As it slowly froths in the water, hypnotic swirling silver luster is released and the deep green exterior soon gives way to a rich, wine-colored center. Just like at the Feast of Fools, when the wine begins flowing, the revelry really begins! Popping candies fizz and crackle, creating a world of magic and mischief right before your eyes.'

This MASSIVE bath bomb has an incredible scent! I wouldn't consider myself a patchouli fan, but I can certainly get behind this. If you don't typically enjoy herbal scents (I tend not to), this might just be one for you as it does have some sweetness thanks to the fair trade vanilla- the world's first, to be exact. My Lord of Misrule bath bomb had a little accident when I was taking photos and took a tumble off of the table, but it ended up working out, as you can see the wine coloured core peeking out. Cut this big bomb in half and you can enjoy two fizzy, fun baths!

Lush Halloween items- these, and many more!- are available now. Will you be picking up any products to make your baths a little bit spookier?
