Avon Awakening True Colour Quad and Revitalized Ideal Luminous Highlighter- Zenergy Collection for Spring 2013
*As you can see, there are still server problems with Photobucket. I apologize for all of the missing elements, it looks terrible, but there isn't much I can do.
We've seen the lips (here) and the tips (here) and now we'll take a peek at the eyes and cheeks portion of Avon's Zenergy Collection. The lipsticks and polishes are nice, but the the quad and the highlighter the most enticing part of the collection.

A few days ago, I reviewed the lip portion (here) of Avon's Spring 2013 Zenergy Collection, and today I'm following with the corresponding nail portion. For a Spring collection, these aren't typical shades, yet when you see them on they do have a Spring-like quality in the sense that they're all fresh and happy.
Care to take a peek?
If you read often, you know a few of the many things that I love. One thing you likely don't know is that I was once completely obsessed with headbands. From the age of five to about fifteen I almost always wore a headband. I loved them. I remember crying when my favourite one broke; granted I was about six, but it was rough.
While I don't sport one nearly as frequently as I used to, I like having a selection of headbands on hand when the mood strikes. A few years ago I was all about the wide Alice bands, but they're no longer on my radar. I prefer thinner bands now as they're much more comfortable to wear and go with a wider range of hair styles. A few weeks ago while browsing Born Pretty Store I discovered that they sold headbands. I got way too excited and decided a few had to be mine. Care to take a peek?
You know what I was just pondering? Of course you don't, but I'm going to tell you. There have been many a great song written about pawn shops (this is my favourite) and now there is even an ode to the thrift shop, but no one has written a great song about one of my favourite places to shop: the drugstore. You know? Someone should get on that.
Today I spent a few minutes in the heaven on earth that is Shopper's Drugmart (Canada's CVS or Walgreen's) and managed to find a few goodies worthy of the ride home with me. I should note, I stupidly took every photo without my flash on, and they all ended up a bit too dark, and not quite as sharp as I would have liked, so you get the vintage effect (Pixlr's Aladdin filter.)

And by lover, I mean WIFI!! I changed internet service providers last week, but the router I picked up didn't work with my system. Five hours on the phone between Netgear (who made the router) and my service provider and I still couldn't get a connection. I've been able to connect directly from the modem, but it's in my laundry room, so I've had my laptop on a little tv table. Try getting anything done all hunched over in a laundry room...

Just in time for Spring (which could hurry up a bit, I'm done with snow thanks) Avon brings us their newest offering: Zenergy Spring 2013 Colour Collection. I've been playing around with it for a few weeks and am really loving it. It's not a huge collection, but big enough that it would end up being a monster of a post if I review everything together, so I'm going to break it up. There's eyes, face, lips and tips (ie. nail polish.)
I thought I'd start things off with lips. The lip portion of the Zenergy collection brings back Avon's Shine Attract lipstick in three new shades. Ready to take a look?

It's been one of those days... Not a full on terrible 'I wish I could just die' type of day, just one of those days where you're just not quite you. You're just that much off and it messes with everything you try to do. Ugh. Add to that the fact that I am right in the midst of a majorly unorganized spell. I've got a batch of items to review. Some can't be opened/used until I get photos taken, some are in the testing phases so I'm not ready to review them... let's just say the office portion of my bedroom currently looks like a small drugstore exploded. Actually, that might just be the best kind of explosion. Like, ever.
Anyhow, getting past my mess, I do have a neat little product to chat about today: Mark That's Brilliant Face &Eye Luminizer.

I love Spring polish collections! The allure of soft, pastels and plenty of pinks and lavenders is almost irrepressible. Almost. After a while, it seems like every shade seems to have already been done, does it not?
While Avon's Petal Impressions collection is without a doubt, very Spring, it is just that little bit different from the standard pastels with the addition of a pearlized, shimmering finish. I love that the shades have names corresponding to impressionist art- most notably Van Gogh and Monet. Read on to take a closer look!

Maybelline seems to have taken over lately... I promise this will be that last one (for a few days, maybe...) It's not that everything is brand spanking new, but there seems to have been some delay in terms of certain launches making their way to Canada.
I was super excited when UK bloggers started showcasing the new Metal collection of Maybelline's ever popular Colour Tattoo cream shadows, but they seemed to take an awful long time to get here. Thankfully, the wait is over! I have two out of the five shades to show you today- Gold Rush and Electric Blue. To see my previous Colour Tattoo posts check them out here and here.

I collect concealer the way most women collect shoes. It's true, I defiantly have more concealers stashed away than shoes in my closet... but anyway. Concealer is a staple item in any beauty bag. It covers the questionable bits you don't really want the world to see.
If you read a lot of blogs, you've likely heard of the Collection brand (formerly Collection 2000) and their incredibly popular Lasting Perfection concealer. I ebayed a tube months ago and saved it for a

If you asked me what I thought of bright, bold lipcolours a year or so ago, I likely would have given you a blank-faced stare and uttered one word: scary. I've always found bright shades appealing, I just never felt that they were something I could do. I slowly began dipping my toe in the bold lip pool, and can now say I am quite confidant rocking bold lip colours proudly.
Buut (you knew there was going to be a but, didn't you?) I still had a bit of fear when I first heard the buzz surrounding Maybelline's Colour Sensational Vivids. VIVIDS. That words is a bit frightening, is it not? They know they're bright. They know they're bold. They'll cut you... wait, what?
They're actually pretty amazing...

First off, Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I didn't plan any special post or anything, but last years was pretty great, so if you're hankering for a Valentine's specific post check it here.
Today, I've got a batch of eyeshadow pencils to share. I've been using them for a couple of weeks, and I have to say these are pretty swell. Wait, did I just use the word 'swell'? Momentary time travel to 1952 aside, these are pretty great!

'They' say that scent is a major memory trigger, but I think music might have a stronger effect for me. That said when I came to day five of the 30 day music challenge, I had a ton of people to choose from. But who would be the lucky boy or girl?
Nails! The little accessory everyone has (factory installed!) Of course, it's up to you to do to a bit of aftermarket upgrading. I recently took the plunge into unfamiliar territory and tired press on nails for the first time. I was totally game, but still a bit skeptical as to how well I would get on with them.

Demeter is a brand that I was instantly attracted to when I first learned of it's existence (many years ago...) but it was never that accessible in Canada. Over the years I've found it in the most random places and always took that as an opportunity to try a few more scents. Needless to say, I was really excited when it was announced that the brand is now available at select Loblaws and Real Canadian Superstores.
Today, I've got a very Valentine's appropriate scent to explore: Champagne Brut!

CLOSED Giveaway: DS Laboratories Revita High Performance Hair Stimulating Shampoo and Revita.COR Conditioner
You may remember my review of Revita's High Performance Hair Stimulating Shampoo and Revita.COR Conditioner (here.) I am so in love with how amazing these products make my hair look and feel, it's crazy! Needless to say, when I was given the chance to give a set away to one of you, my equally amazing readers, I had to say yes.

Valentine's Day is a polarizing event; some love it some hate it. I'd say I'm kind of indifferent, but I do kind of love the sentiment behind it... anyway, Valentine's Day is only a mere...*checks calendar* seven days away, and I've got three Maybelline Colour Whispers in romantic reds and pretty pinks to help inspire your look.
Whether you're single (and fabulous! I couldn't help myself...) or have plans with a special someone, these lip colours will definitely sweeten your day. And, just to put it out there, these are totally non-sticky, meaning if you find yourself heading to make-out town, you won't stick to your date. Just saying...
Day 4 of the 30 day music challenge brings the tone down a bit with 'a song that makes you sad'. I initially thought of a bunch of songs, but then I realized I hadn't focused on the challenge enough. A song that makes you sad. I know plenty of sad songs; songs that are excellent to listen to when you're feeling down, but a song that can actually change my mood. That took a little bit more thought.
Then it hit me...
It's that time again! I went to toss another empty into my empties bag the other day, and it bounced itself right back out... huh, time to post and toss I guess. I never feel like I've managed to finish much until I see everything all together like this. It's mostly everyday type products, okay, mostly skincare, and no makeup... I never seem to finish anything because I have too many options. It's so hard to stick with one thing long enough, you know?

Amazing news! Well, for me it is... I'm getting a new internet provider!! I am so excited! It's not that what I have now is terrible, it's just so expensive, and I tend to run out of bandwidth before the end of my billing cycle which sucks. You either don't use the internet or you pay a boat load extra. Boo! With my new provider, I'll get 60 GB for a bit less than what I'm paying now for an 8-9 GB(depending on usage.) Crazy!
Buut, if that doesn't excite you, maybe I can tempt you with Boscia Vanilla Blotting Linens...
I think the most annoying part of nail polish is the dry time, well, and the smell, but that's a whole other story. Anyway, wouldn't it be nice if you could swipe on any shade and have it be dry in... say 30 seconds? Nod your heads with me. Well, Avon's Speed Dry+ claims that it can do just that.
Too good to be true? Maybe...

I can think of few things as fun as a surprise delivery. Actually, there is, a surprise delivery of lipsticks, especially when they happen to be Avon lipsticks! I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it: Avon make some pretty stellar lipsticks. It's true. Their formula is consistently great, and they have a massive range of shades throughout their various lines.
The Totally Kissable shades I've tested definitely don't disappoint! Keep reading to check them out!
