BA Star has recently reached out to the blogging community via Brand Backer, so it is likely you may have seen a few reviews of their Stardust Mineral Eyeshadows already. I recently took some time to play with the product and have to say I'm quite impressed with it. I have pretty much no experience using shimmer/glitter shadows like this, but, well I'm getting ahead of myself. Read on!

Nivea has been busy- first, they announced that they would be integrating newly designed packaging with a brand new logo (inspired by their iconic blue tin) and structuring. The new design is not only inspired after Nivea packaging of the past, but it's also more environmentally friendly- who can say they don't appreciate that? The new packaging includes larger bottles (saving you a few pennies in the long run too), 15% less plastic- which saves more than 350 tonnes of plastic each year, they've reduced label material by 23% - which reduces the amount of hot foil used by 90%. Those are some pretty impressive stats if you ask me. Good on them, I say.
I wouldn't call myself a numbers type of girl, but I do find statistics to be quite interesting- especially when they're beauty related- so I thought I'd share some of Nivea's 2013 Skin-dex results (along with some mini reviews.) The Skin-dex is an annual study that tracks Canadian's attitudes and perceptions towards their skin and skincare routines. The study polled more than 1,500 Canadians, age 18 and older. It's quite interesting, read on!

Lately, I've been on a blending brush kick. I've realized I need more. Well, need might not be true... but can you ever really have too many blending brushes? Obviously not. The thing is, I get tired of all black brushes. Why can't there be more with cute, patterned handles, or at least a little colour? Some one understands me, and the new mark. Full Service 5 Piece Pro Brush Kit came at the perfect time. Read on to see why.

Guess who is one organized blogger... Did you guess? It's this girl! I have a week of posts and my necessary editing/photography all planned. You know when you decide you should plan/organize and then you don't, and you put it off, but then you do it and you wonder why it took so long? That's what went down. I was so in love with my new May Designs notebook (this one) that I got to planning and am SO happy about it. Maybe too happy...
Anyway a fast post today in the form of a little NOTD. Make it NOTW (week) actually as I know these will last. Read on to see the Avon Nail Art Design Strips in Mosaic Flowers in action.

A couple of days ago, I was summoned to the door to sign for a big white and pink box (ooh, exciting!) What was in that box? A variety of really amazing things, that's what! You see, it was my August PopSugar Must Haves box.
The PopSugar Must Haves box is a specially curated selection of items from a variety of areas like home, beauty, style, and health. It's shipped out monthly (aka a subscription service) and is the adult equivalent of a kid on Christmas morning. I seriously had an awesome time discovering what was in mine. Read on to see more of what I received!

If you've been reading IKATW for long, you probably know how much I love facial mists. I can't really pin point why, but I do. I just love facial mists.I also happen to be a pretty fanatical tea drinker. Seriously- for Christmas my Uncle (Unc, as I call him) always gets me a huge box of tea. He makes it his mission to find me every type/flavour he can find. I just love tea.
So, you can see why I got a bit excited when I was contacted by MIYU (pronounced mee-you) and asked if I'd like to try their new line. The brand has just launched this month, and is the first lifestyle beauty brand to pair teas with skincare. MIYU plans to 'revolutionize the beauty industry by helping women nourish their complexions from the inside out, in a delightful way.' That's a mission I think I can get behind! Read on!

Sadly, it seems the days of Summer are numbered. Actually, I'm not that sad, as I kind of love autumn...
Anyway, Summer is winding down and before you know it will be time to start switching items in the ol' skincare routine to both counteract the changing temperatures and any damage all of those gorgeous sun filled days may have left on your skin. The Lush team are always on top of your skincare needs (you know it's true) and have put together a genius little kit to help your seasonal transition. The best part? It's customizable! Read on!

It's, admittedly, been a bit since an OPI collection has really sparked my interest, but their newest for Fall/Winter 2013 sucked me in. What can I say, I love a good blue polish, and the San Francisco Collection is blue heavy. I picked up six of the fifteen; yes, fifteen! It's a massive collection. Read on for swatches!
Ready for a few new nail polishes? Of course you are!
Okay, so I may be blanking when it comes to some sort of intro for these Avon Brushed Metals, but they're pretty spectacular, so I'm hoping they make up for it. Ready? Read on!
The last few months I've been all about cream shadows. They're just so easy to pop and when you've got the right formula, can last beautifully through the hottest days of Summer. You can see why I was so excited to try these Yves Rocher Ultra-Long Lasting Cream Eyeshadows. Honestly, who can resist a shiny new shadow? Read on to see how they fare!

In my last post, I brought you the lip portion of the Mary Kay At Play Collection (here), so it's only right that I continue with the rest of the collection. Today we'll finish off with the eyes in the form of the Baked Eye Trios and the Eye Crayons. Read on!

If you're in your twenties, you likely associate Mary Kay as being a brand more geared towards an older generation. I know I did for a long time. I now know that they have some pretty fabulous products- hello, have you tried these yet?
Well, the MK team want to change your minds and have created their first collection for a younger generation- Generation Y to be exact. It's made up of a selection of eye and lip products. To keep this post from being incredibly long, I've divided it up into eyes and lips. Lips first!

A few weeks ago I discovered a neat subscription service that sends you a little selection of Japanese candy. I almost subscribed, Japanese candy sounded fun, but I wasn't sure I was up to a random selection. I did a bit of Google-ing and found a little shop (that shipped to Canada without requiring a small fortune) so I chose a few goodies that looked appealing. They arrived yesterday and I've had a bit of a taste test so I though I'd give you a peek at my haul. Read on!

Another nail post today, blog fans. I apologize if you're not a nail fan; this should be the last nail post for the week... I think.
Anyhow, this post has been a long time coming. Every time I had the time to commit to these- meaning no other polishes that needed to be swatched- I'd end up breaking a nail. It always seems to happen to me when I'm planning to do something with my nails. The nail that broke was just long enough, so I decided I'd better get these on before I broke another one because that's just my luck. Read on to see more and find out if they really can last 14 days as they claim.

Is anyone else getting excited about fall polish collections?
I am! I am waiting on a few pre-ordered shades from OPI and Essie but in yesterdays package bonanza- seriously, every time I turned around there was another box at the door- these two new OPI DS shades arrived. I always get excited about new designer shades as they tend to be particularly gorgeous. Read on to see these swatched!

Good day, blog fans! For some reason I have been super productive today- I cleaned out/ organized my spice cupboard, prepped a basket of peaches to be frozen (for winter smoothies), rolled my penny stash ($12 yo!), found some discussion topics for my book club (we're reading Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake again in preparation for the third book in the series) and started editing a batch of photos I took yesterday. I'm unstoppable I tell you!
Next on my to-do list: a little blogging! First up is Avon's newest Skin So Soft offering- Aroma + Therapy. Read on!

If you love makeup- which I'm assuming you do if you're reading this- then you've had to find the best way to remove it. A task that is so much easier said then done. While I've found a few I love- Bioderma Sensibio to name, well one- but I still like to try others as I've found reasonably priced Bioderma hard to find. On one of trips to the drugstore I ended up with two Canadian options from Annabelle and Marcelle (they're sister brands) which I've really been loving. Read on for the 411!

Happy Sunday, everyone!
I've actually never really been a fan of Sundays... I don't really have a reason; they just give me an odd feeling. Anyone else? I did get the chance to swatch some new polishes from the Pure Ice Citrus Collection. Pure Ice is a new brand for me so I was excited to see how it would fare. Read on!

Time again for empties. I almost didn't bother putting this post together, but I know I personally enjoy seeing what other bloggers have used so I figured I might as well go with it. If you're a newer reader- Hello! Nice to meet you- you might not know how I manage empties. I don't do the whole monthly thing because if I did it would likely only be two products. Instead I have a bag (the one shown above) where I stash my empties. When it's full, I post. This time around it was particularly full as I've really put forth some effort into finishing off half used items. Enough babbling though, lets get to (what used to be) the goods!

You likely know this, but I LOVE a good face mask! Last week while looking for a different mask, I re-discovered this Avene Soothing Moisture Mask. I decided to start using it more and of course spread the word since I've somehow never reviewed this. Read on!
Don't be alarmed, but the polishes within this post are... NAKED!
Shocking, right? As you can see, these Sally Hansen Sugar Coat polishes are lacking their labels. They were worried about being seen online topless and that they'd been warned polish pervs could be lurking, but I assured them it would be okay. The whole 'we're all just girls' talk and they seemed much more comfortable. So, let's get on to what really matters, their sugary, textured polish insides. Read on for swatches!
I inadvertently skipped a few posts, but I swear I had a good reason. You see, I fell into an Orange is the New Black coma. It's so good! I ended up watching the whole season in three days. At first I only downloaded a few episodes, but the more I watched the better it got. Seriously, if you're not watching it, you need to. I am so excited for the second season!
Since I have nothing left to watch, I had some free time to swatch these new Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polishes. Read on!
