CLARINS multi blush cream01 peach (4)

If you could look past the snow, today was almost Spring-ish... Almost. Okay, it was still kind of chilly, but it was warmer than the usual frigidity and the sun was shining with the promise of Spring. Since it's clearly not Spring just yet, I'd say it's best to take the 'fake it 'till you make' approach. If you don't have have a glowy, Spring flush just yet Clarins new Mutli-Blush Cream is just what you need.

  • Its creamy and soft texture sculpts, smoothes and colors the cheeks with an ultra-natural, fresh effect.
  • Its floral wax enriched formula (rose, mimosa and sunflower) pampers the skin and protects it from dehydration.
  • Gives luster to the skin with the Light Optimizing+ Complex, a Clarins exclusive.

As part of the Opalescence Collection (Spring 2014) Clarins has introduced a new cream blush. Available in four shades-  Peach- a natural peach, Candy- a natural pink, Grenadine- a rose, and Rosewood- a mauve-nude - the Multi-Blush Cream blushes are all kinds of amazing! I was expecting to like this, I mean what can be so bad a about a peach cream blush, but the formula is unlike any cream blush I've used.

It's a cream to powder formula that is so silky... it's almost unreal. The product is sheer, as it's been designed to accentuate the shade that skin naturally tints when flushed, but it gives the most natural, brightened, glowy look. As mentioned, the finish is fairly sheer, but it's easily built up to be the perfect amount of colour. The formula is best applied with fingers as it seems to need the warmth of your fingers to meld onto skin as the texture is light and can get lost in a brush.

The shade I have, 01 Peach, is a natural peach with some pink undertones, meaning it isn't too orange and should work on most skin-tones with ease. While there are slight golden shimmer- if you look closely in the pan, they're there- they aren't visible once the product is on cheeks, giving it a natural matte finish. However, when applied on lips- these blushes can also be used on lips, btw- the golden shimmer is slightly more visible. While I love the formula as blush, I'm not so much a fan of it on lips. It can work, if you have absolutely no flaws on your lips and you use a balm first, as the cream to powder formula catches on lip imperfections and can be a bit drying.

Overall, I'd have to say that this blush is simply amazing! I'd go so far to say that this is the best cream blush I've ever used. It's just so perfect! Blush fans will definitely want to try these, especially if you swoon for a good cream blush. Are you a cream blush fan? Will you be trying these?
