Revlon Photready Skinlights Illuminator- 200 Pink Light (3)

Three posts in one night? Blogger of the year award here I come! Too much? Possibly. Something that does warrant excitement are the Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminators. I picked one up not expecting too much, but have become quite smitten.

'With Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator its easy to get a healthy glow in any light. Brighten and illuminate skin for a radiant complexion. Wear alone to highlight and brighten. Wear with foundation to banish dullness and even out skin tone.' - Revlon

I must admit that when I think drugstore and illuminator I don't come to good conclusions. All too often budget type highlighters and illuminators end up being a little too flashy and a lot too glittery, but Revlon got it so right with their Skinlights. The formulation is incredibly refined with soft, glowy shimmer that adds just enough illumination to the skin.

There are four shades available- 100 Pale Light, 200 Pink Light, 300 Peach Light and 400 Bronze Light. When I was looking at these in store (Wal-Mart for specifics) the Bronze shade wasn't available, nor was there a spot for it in the display. I had my mind set on the peach version, but when I tried the tester it looked like it would add too much colour and not the right tone of colour to work with my skin tone, so I opted for the pink shade. It seems like the shades have been developed to work with various skin tones as opposed to just being provided for personal preference. The pink shade has a slight pink hue, but the shade really isn't detectable once on. I like to add a few drops of this into foundation for a a subtle bit of a brightening glow, but if I'm using a bb cream, or something with less pigmentation, I'll apply this on my skin first.

Overall, this is a great product if you want a little glow without scary shine or glitter. I love that there are different shades to work with different skin tones, so everyone will find something that works for them. Have you tried this? Are you a fan?
