Twirl by Kate Spade Eau de Parfum

Twirl by Kate Spade eau de parfum (4)

Oh, Blogger *shakes fist* Did anyone else find that their photos were of lesser quality and strangely hued when they uploaded? It doesn't alter every photo, just one or two out of each batch. It's the strangest thing. But, back to the important things, like Twirl by Kate Spade. Yes, fragrance is important. How dare you even question it. I spotted Twirl on sale a few weeks ago and just had to bring it home with me. I wasn't sure what it actually smelled like, but I remembered the cute little bottle and that was enough for me. It was one of those days, you know? Read on to see if it was a worth while bargain...

'Introducing twirl by kate spade new york. We've infused our celebratory new fragrance with a dash of joie de vivre- perfect for colorful days and cocktail soirees.'

Twirl by Kate Spade is housed in a small, round bottle with sporadic gold spots. It's simple, but completely adorable. For a small bottle, it has some heft to it and the gold cap is quite heavy/solid as well. The scent within the bottle is nice. With top notes of red currant, blackberry and watermelon, mid notes of orange blossom, star jasmine, tiare flower and magnolia and base notes of French macarons and glittering musk, the overall scent is light and fresh. To me, no one scent seems all that prominent or detectable on it's own, but when everything combines you do get a lovely scent. It's light and fresh with a bit of sweetness and just a touch of floral.

While this isn't the most interesting scent, it is nice and is perfect for days when you just don't know what to wear but want something light and uplifting. It's also a great option if you work in an office or in close quarters, as it's not going to offend anyone or be too much. I don't find this last particularly long on me- about 4 hours and I really have to sniff to detect it.

Overall, a nice little scent. I'm glad I didn't pay full price, but still a nice scent to have in any fragrance collection. Have you tried it? Thoughts?
