Arbonne It's a Long Story Mascara

Arbonne It's a Long Story Mascara (1)

Hello internet world; I've missed you! Yesterday was a day of intermittent connectivity in my house. It has to be one of the most annoying things ever. I tried to get some things done, but I ended up just giving in and packing it up. I made up for it today though as I've been dealing with emails all day. Seriously, ALL DAY. I did take a few shopping breaks too... Laura Mercier on Haute Look was too good to pass up, a little raspberry loving from The Body Shop and I am seriously considering another Sephora order before the sale ends. So many products, so little time... But, back to the product you're here for- Arbonne It's a Long Story Mascara. The short story is that it's pretty amazing! Read on for the 411!

'Your eyes tell an epic tale. Now you can tell the whole glamorous story with our high-performance lengthening mascara that creates the look of ultra-dramatic lashes with major longitude. The professional brush, with its flexible, uniform bristle design, glides on to create beyond-beautiful lash-by-lash definition, so just one wink will be worth a thousand words. Good thing — yours is a never-ending story.' - Arbonne

Arbonne is a brand I had previously heard of, but had never used or knew much about. When the opportunity to test their It's a Long Story Mascara I took it. I am always game when it comes to trying a new mascara. After one use, I knew it was a good decision. Most mascaras need a little time to 'develop' after they've been opened for the first time, but It's a Long Story was perfect from the get-go.

It's housed in a long tube, with a long straight brush. It has plastic/silicone bristles that really don't look all that interesting, but the brush does work really well at grabbing all your little-bitty lashes and can coat bottom lashes with ease. Where this mascara really shines though, is the fact that it gives you everything. It lengthens like wow - technical terms, you know I'm a serious blogger- gives great volume and definition. All that and it's easy to layer up and get the most out of the formula without getting clumpy. *Swoons*

As you can see, the results are quite impressive- even more so when applied to curled lashes. While my lashes are on the verge of being long when naked, they don't have as much curl as I'd like so I normally curl my lashes. I didn't here because I wanted to show the mascara on it's own, as this does give some lift to uncurled lashes. When applied on curled lashes, it holds the curl really well and doesn't pull lashes back down.

Overall, I am really in love with this mascara! On top of looking fab it wears beautifully too- a full day with no flaking, smudging or general blackness where it's not meant to be. The downside is that it's a bit pricey at $40 a tube, especially when you're going to be throwing it out in 3-6 months. BUT, if you're looking so splurge a bit, this is definitely the one to do it on. Tried it? Thoughts? Have you done any shopping lately? Do tell!
