L'Oreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution & Gentle Makeup Remover

L'Oreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution and Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips

Seems like I've got an unintentional cleansing theme happening today, but I like it, so let's go! As you can see it's all about the liquid cleansers in this post with two of my current L'Oreal favourites- L'Oreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution and L'Oreal Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips.

So, we all know this popular micellar, and while I agree, it's great, it's no longer the only option on the block. Actually, the popularity of micellars has made finding a great, lower price alternative really easy. Anyhow, L'Oreal got it so right with this! As splash of L'Oreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution on a cotton round dissolves all types of makeup with ease and without pulling on delicate skin around the eyes. It leaves skin completely cleansed and not at all dry, tight or sticky. While this is formulated for eyes, lips and face I mainly use it to remove eye makeup. While this does cut through heavy makeup and long wearing formulas, I do reach for something else if it's waterproof mascara or lip stain I'll be stripping.

That something else is L'Oreal Gentle Makeup Remover for Eyes & Lips which is a bi-phase remover formulated for long-wearing and waterproof makeup. While it's not something I always reach for, but waterproof mascara can hold a curl like no other (hello, long lashes!) but can be a major bitch to remove. We all agree right? Not with this gem! It melts even the toughest mascara clean off in seconds. I also love how well it removes long-wearing lip products and lip stains. Unlike some removers formulated to remove waterproof makeup, this isn't oily feeling on skin and doesn't leave any kind of residue on skin or leave your vision foggy. If all that wasn't enough to convince you, this is also said to be a spot on dupe of the popular Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover, but you know, at a fraction of the price. Oh, and when you shake it up, it has a gorgeous blue sparkly-ness that is quite tranquil to watch as it settles back to two parts.

Two instant favourites! I've actually switched my makeup removal process a bit, as I use a cleansing butter to remove as much makeup as possible, follow up with a liquid remover before finishing my cleaning off with a normal cleanser. I find that it gets every last bit of product off of my face and saves a whole lot of cotton rounds too. Tried either of these? What are your go to products for makeup removal?
