A Dior Dupe? Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow

Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow- Baby Pink and Orange (5)

The dupe. The dupe can be a glorious thing, can't it? I was reading blogs last week when I spotted Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow mentioned in a roundup of Korean beauty products. It instantly reminded me of Dior Addict Lip Glow because, well it's almost identical. But, is the product inside that pretty package similar? Read on for the lowdown.

So, is it the same? Well, I can't give you a completely conclusive answer because I don't have the Dior version. It's not that I'm against a beauty splurge every now and then, it's just that $35 for tinted lip balm is a bit much when you already have too many lip products. That said, I can pretty safely say that this is an incredibly close product and the closest you're going to get to the original.

Secret Key Sweet Glam Tint Glow is a super hydrating lip balm that changes colour on your lips to not only hydrate and protect but also give lips a glowy tint. Like I just mentioned, the balm is quite hydrating and has a very light, silky feel on lips with no scent or taste.

Just like Dior, this is available in two shades- Baby Pink and Orange to compare to Dior's Pink and Coral- but the colour in the tube isn't exactly what you get as these react to your body chemistry to create a colour custom to you. On me, Baby Pink gives lips a sheer, but bright pink tint, while Orange starts off as a pinky coral, and transforms into a vivid sheer fuchsia. The colours of both are gorgeous and leave lips with a pretty vivid tint that last for hours- even after the balm wears away.

Overall, I'm a total fan! I'm a bit bummed that Orange doesn't give a coral hue, but the fuschia shade is quite stunning and is so much easier to pop on than a lipstick. That said, these are perfect to have stashes in purses, desk drawers... anywhere really as they're so easy to throw on without a mirror for colour and balm in one. Oh, and you can't beat the price- I got both of these for about $22 Canadian. I picked mine up from a seller on ebay but I'd sure these are likely available from other etailers who carry Koren beauty products. Have you tried either? Found any great beauty dupes lately?
