Fresh & Clean with Dial

dial yogurt froyo body wash and hand soap

Confession time- when it comes to cleansing products I'm all about the smell. It's the first thing I do- okay, I niff pretty much every product- but what I'm getting it is I like things that smell good. Who doesn't though, really? When it comes to my shower gel and hand soap I have a pretty short list of wants- it has to smell good and not be drying. I've come to find brands that I like best and stick with them in this department, but I've got some new favourites from Dial in the form of their Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash and Water Blossoms and Coconut Lime Verbena Deep Cleansing Moisturizing Hand Soaps.

When it comes to shower gel, Philosophy tends to be my go-to, but they're definitely not the most budget friendly and I have to order online to get them, which means I can't give them a sniff pre-purchase. Well, Philosophy now has some major competition in my shower since Dial Frozen Yogurt Cooling Body Wash has moved into my bathroom. With a creamy, fruity scent- that really does remind me of yogurt- it lathers up really well, cleanses nicely, and leaves my skin lightly hydrated. While the exact scent isn't mentioned on the bottle the ingredients do list pineapple, papaya, guava, and citrus, which gives you the general idea. The shower gel is formulated with yogurt protein which is a natural skin conditioner that also helps skin maintain natural moisture. Unlike some hydrating formulas, this is still light feeling, and doesn't leave any residue on skin. Oh, and I almost forgot, this gives skin a little bit of a cooling sensation when you use it! It's not a major sensation, but it's neat and especially nice for super hot days where it seems like all you do is shower. If you're a major yogurt fan, Dial also has a Greek Yogurt version with a Vanilla Honey scent.

I am a major fan of Bath & Body Works hand soaps and usually buy them in bulk (partly because shipping to Canada is a but ridiculous) but they too aren't the most budget friendly, especially since hand soap is something you use so frequently. That said, I didn't expect to love these Dial Deep Cleansing Moisturizing Hand Soaps so much! They smell so good (more on that in a moment) but also leave hands feeling thoroughly cleansed but don't dry them out. I love the addition of micro-beads which act as micro-scrubbers to both deep clean and exfoliate leaving hands soft and smooth.

The two scents I have are Water Blossoms- a tropical floral scent with a hint of fruit, and Coconut Lime Verbena- a tangy, fresh scent with a hint of coconut and floral. Both scents are clean and refreshing, but not head-achy or over the top (you know the kind.) This range also includes a Yellow Raspberry scent.

Overall, I am a new Dial fan! I had never really used much from the brand, but I'll definitely be checking out their other products on my next drugstore visit. Have you tried any of these products? Have a favourite Dial product? Do tell!
