What happens on the day you plan on catching up with emails and blogging until your fingers fall off? You spend the bulk of the day with either slower than molasses internet connectivity or none at all. Let's just say I was a little miffed. But, let's get to something a bit more positive... Like the new Make Up For Ever Aqua Matic Glide-On Waterproof Eyeshadow.

Somethings are just better waterproof. Especially in the humid, hot days of Summer. Make Up For Ever is already the brand to go for when in search of great long-wearing waterproof products, but they've done it again with their newest shadow/liners. The Aqua Matic shadows are packaged eyeliner style, but in a larger size. They come with an included sharpener hidden in the bottom of the tube, which is a very nice touch as the product is fairly creamy, so the tip does get worn down with each use. As this can be used as a liner and shadow, it's great to be able to sharpen this back to the original point.

As mentioned, the product is creamy and smooth- it applies with ease without tugging, pulling or skipping on skin- but sets to be completely smudge, budge, and waterproof for hours (and hours...) You've got a bit of wiggle room to smudge it out, but when it sets, it sets for good. I found that this really does stay where applied all day. It doesn't seem to matter if you rub your eyes, sweat, or cry, it's not going anywhere until you take it off. That said, I had no problems getting this off with my normal makeup remover and didn't have to fight to get it off.

I have the shade Diamond Black D-10 which is a deep, charcoal black- it's not a true jet black- with a bit of a shimmery glitter. It's the perfect shade for a smokey look, so I that's what I did. Using Urban Decay Naked 2, I used a bit of Verve all over the entire eye with Pistol concentrated on the mobile lid. I added a thick layer of Diamond Black and smudged it out. I added it as liner to my lower lash line as well, and smudged a bit of Verve over it with a bit of Pistol on the outer corner. Voila, the fastest smokey look that only took three products- not including a few lashings of mascara.

Overall, I am a fan! The range currently has ten shades that cover your basics- like black and brown- vivid shades and some neutrals, so there is bound to be something for everyone. Tried these? Want to? Have a favourite waterproof eye product? Thoughts?
