Happy Tuesday, blog fans! You were supposed to be reading this yesterday, but that didn't end up happening... It was such a nice day here- after a few too many days of rain and cold- that I spent the bulk of the day off running errands and what not that this post didn't quite get finished. Bad blogger, but, it's ready for viewing now and it does include some pretty fab new additions to the Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colour Range. Read on for a look!

Including these five new shades, the Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colour range has 38 gorgeous shades. The shade range includes a lot of neutrals and super wearable colours that are perfect for everyday wear- epecially if you're a matte fan. The range offers quite a few mattes, along with stain and shimmer shades. While the formulas differ a bit shade to shade, the pigmentation of the shades I have is very consistent and quite good, but more on that in a moment.

As you may already know, most MK colour products come in pans, meaning you can pop them into any palette you want, or the MK selections- above is the mini size, which holds six mineral shadows, or three shadows and a blush, or two blushes. I quite like the pan system, as it saves money and space compared to singles- we all have too many singles kicking around unloved. The pan system allows you to customize your own palette and get exactly the shades you want.

Of the five new shades, there is Ballerina Pink, a matte, pale pink. Driftwood, a matte milk chocolate shade. Rose Gold, a satin bronze. French Roast, a medium-deep brown with golden shimmer and Stone, a blue toned gray matte. The formula of these is pretty much as perfect, as they are all quite pigmented and creamy- even the mattes!- and apply to the eye beautifully. The shades blend well together and are very easy to work with and blend well. I find they wear well all day, and will be popular for those with oily lids as the formula is created to be oil absorbing to wear well on all lids.

Overall, you really can't go wrong with these little shadows! The fact that the colour range is so wide also means everyone is bound to find the perfect shades. What do you think of the new shades? Tried these? Thoughts?
