Nordic Collection by OPI Swatches

OPI Nordic collection  (3)

It still feels a tad too early to be talking Fall collections- Canadians know not to jinx the cold weather too soon- but it seems it has to be done... At least for the Nordic Collection by OPI. I've got three shades from the rather large twelve piece collection- Going My Way or Norway?, Thank Glogg It's Friday!, and Skating on Thin Ice-Land. Read on!

'OPI's Fall/Winter 2014 collection is Nordic- inspired by the great northern lights in Finland, deep blue fjords in Norway, and colorful houses in Copenhagen!

This twelve shade collection reflects the contrast and tones of the season seen on the runways and features a palette ranging from spicy browns in shades of bronze, cinnamon and caramel to rich purples in wine, black cherry and blue-violet hues, with accents of creamy coral, pink and sea green.' - OPI

OPI Nordic collection - going my way or norway (4)
Nordic Collection by OPI- Going My Way or Norway?*

Going My Way or Norway is a warm, mid-tone caramel cream. The shade is perfectly fall and should work on most skin tones as it's not too yellow in tone. Perfect formula- two coats.

Thank Glogg it's Friday! is mid-tone burgundy with a glowing, shimmery pink semi-duochrome effect. It's quite something in person and will likely be a very popular shade. Also a great formula; two coats.

Nordic Collection by OPI- Skating on Thin Ice-Land*

Skating on Thin Ice-Land is a deep, blackened grapey-plum. The shade has just enough plum that it doesn't read as just black, but is perfectly deep and vampy. Great formula, but I ended up needing three coats to get perfectly even coverage.

Overall, this is a great collection. I like that the typical Fall shades (nudes and plums/burgundies) are rounded out with some more vivid colours too. Like anything from this collection? What shades will you be picking up?
