LACC Vegan Nail Polish Fall/Winter 2014 1966 & 1998

How is it Thursday already? I have no idea where this week has gone, but somehow here we are. Anyway, what you're probably much more interested in are these two beauts from La Couleur Couture (LACC) Vegan Nail Polish Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. They're seriously stunning! Read on.

LACC is a new brand for me, but after trying these shades, I'm sure a few more will find me as the brand not only has gorgeous shades, a fabulous brush (more on that in a sec) but is also now sold in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart. Love that! Anyway, as mentioned, I've never tried the LACC formula, and did wonder about how it would fare, but I have no issues at all. Of the two shades I tired both applied very well- one is even a one coater- and wore amazingly well on my nails that hate to be polished. My nails don't agree with nail polish well, no matter how well I prep them, so I was amazing to go a full four days before chipping started. Anything over two days makes me happy, so kudos to LACC. I also happen to love the brush. It's a pretty standard looking round brush, but it just splays so perfectly on the nail making application that much easier. Good stuff all around.

1966 is a deep teal with strong green tones, with semi-hidden tonal shimmer. The shimmer gives the shade a pretty glow, but is a little more hidden and is only evident in good lighting. Formula is great, especially for a darker shade- two easy coats.

1998 is a medium-deep chocolate brown with a taupe undertone with coppery-gold hidden shimmer. I really like this shade, but I would love it if the shimmer was more visible. Much like 1966 the shimmer pops most in brighter light, but does give a pretty yet subtle glow otherwise. Formula of this shade is pretty much perfect, as what you see above was one coat. One!

Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with LACC. What do you think of these shades? Tried any polishes from LACC? Thoughts?
