Lise Watier Winter 2014 | Aurora Collection

Tis the season of the eyeshadow palette. I feel like I've been using something new everyday... Not that that is ever a bad thing; especially when they're as gorgeous as the Aurora Palette from the new Lise Waiter Aurora Collection for Winter 2014. The collection is as stunning as it gets, with the shades and packaging inspired by none other than Canadian Northern Lights (aka Aurora Borealis.) Read on for a look a the Aurora Palette and  Smokey Kohl Velours.

'The richly pigmented Smokey Kohl Velours glides on effortlessly inside and outside the eye contour. The texture is creamy, the result matte and waterproof, and the felt tip helps you adjust the thickness of the line.' - Lise Watier

Who loves silky smooth, ultra pigmented liners? Did your hand fly up? If so you're going to be all over Lise Watier Smokey Kohl Velours in Indigo Velours. For the non-bilingual, velours means velvet, which exactly what you get with this liner, a smooth, velvety matte finish. It's easy to associate matte liners with a less than perfect texture, but this has the ultimate liner formula that glides on with ease. The waterproof formula wears all day- even on the waterline- and includes a smudger to acheive that messy, worn-in, effortless chic look. Almost forgot about the shade itself, Indigo Velours is an intense, deep teal kissed navy.

'This stunning palette features eyeshadows in the creme-powder texture which, when warmed by the fingertips, become more opaque on the skin. The six richly pigmented shades in this compact have a semi-matte to iridescent finish.' - Lise Watier

The Lise Watier Aurora Palette is a beauty to behold before you even crack the lid. The teal-purple duo-chrome palette is clad with a glitter representation of the Nothern Lights to make this one gorgeous sight. Once you get to the shadows, you're greeted with six creme-powder shades that are the perfect combo- easily wearable and perfectly pigmented. The formula is quite creamy feeling, and unlike your average shadow- or at least unlike what you'd expect to see, anyway. The formula is intensely pigmented when applied with a finger or flat shadow brush, but you can also get a more sheer wash by using a fluffier brush.

The shades are all easily wearable as they're both fairly neutral but with a bit of colour too, and have a variety of finishes, although most lean towards being satin in nature. The first shade, a whitened pink, is more matte, while the gold shade is more metallic and shimmery. I am particularly loving the second shade, a coppery, pink, which works quite nicely against my brown eyes. I found that the formula wears very well over a primer, but did crease by hour four when worn without one- honestly though, who doesn't use a primer?

Overall, I'm a total fan of both products! The collection does include a few other products, which I'm not going to list, because you can see them here. I will mention that all of the compact products are clad with the same glitter and duo-chrome design, so you don't miss out if you opt for any of the other pieces. What do you think of the collection? Anything you love?
