Do you ever have days where you want to hurl your camera out the nearest window? No, just me huh? My camera and I are not in a good place- I must have fiddled with the settings or something because it just doesn't seem to be co-operating... maybe it just doesn't appreciate the beauty that is the new OPI Spotlight on Glitter Collection.... It's going to have to get over itself because I have four of six shades and the very interesting OPI Glitter Off Peel-able Base Coat. Read on!
I once knew someone who tried to smoke a hemp wallet, you know, to get high. He wasn't exactly the sharpest crayon in the box. But maybe I shouldn't judge because I also dated him. For a whole four days. I should add that we were twelve. Oh, and that the wallet incident happened post breakup. That's my hemp tie-in to The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector. It won't get you high, but it will leave your hands feeling pretty happy. Read on!

I'm not that educated in the world of florals, but out of the few I can identify, roses are one. With good reason though, as roses are such a classic element of women's fragrances. They also happen to be quite polarizing- they're either too strong, too 'mature' or just too... you get the gist. Because of that I've never really found a rose scent that I enjoyed. That was before Roses de Chloé.
I've been defying the seasons lately. It started with a little coral blush last week. Then the warm golden eyeshadows came out along with lighter foundations... My face is clearly done with winter. I think we're all ready for the brighter hues that warmer weather bring, and Clarins new shades for Spring give us exactly that. Read on for a peek at one of the new Jolie Rouge Brilliant Shine Shades, Tropical Pink.
Today was one of those days- I was constantly moving but it seems like nothing got done. I hate that! It probably doesn't help that it took me (at least) forty-five minutes of sorting through my nail polish drawer only to find the shade I was searching for was on my desk. It was a true bangs-head-on-desk moment. Oh well. I did get the chance to try wear the last of my new Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush today, which means I can give you the rundown. Read on to see Peaceful, Charisma and Blushing Bride!

Out of all the colours, I like orange the least. It's just never appealed to me much. Today's post happens to be full of orange in the form of the new Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser lineup. Luckily I kind of love it so I might just be able to look past all that orange.

Can you ever have too many brushes? I'm of the school of thought that says no, but I probably have too many of quite a few things... Maybe I'm not the best person to ask, but I stand by no since a few extra brushes are always handy. That said, when I spotted the limited edition Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Collection I just had to add it to my cart.

I have a problem with nail art supplies... I hoard them. I only go for things that are easy, so I really have no excuses, I just never take the time to use anything. Plus, I'm easily impressed by a simple coat of well applied polish. Anyhow, I got to browsing online yesterday and felt inspired to root through my stash. I oped for a set of water decals and a few blues from China Glaze. Read on to see what I put together.

I'm feeling rather sluggish today... It's my own fault; I stayed up last night watching Roots. I've never seen it- partially because it came out a fair few years before I was born- but am completely hooked. It's really well made, and for something made at least thirty years ago, stands the test of time. Anyhow, I was feeling a bit meh when I dragged myself out of bed. You know the feeling. To perk myself up a little- both literally and figuratively- I reached for a new product that makes me look a bit more awake and with it- Clarins Instant Light Complexion Illuminating Base.
You know what's fun? Finding something you kind of wanted but also kind of forgot about. That's how I came across the Maybelline Colour Show Brocades. I spotted a little display way down near the floor when shopping a few weeks ago. I was about to pass right by, but something caught my eye. That something happened to be Gilded Rose and it's a stunner.

Did you have a less than stellar Monday? Need a little cosmetic pick me up? One look at the new limited edition blush from Lancome will definately perk you up a little. The Lancome Highlighter Blush in Rose Ballerine is just that good. Read on for a peek!
Happy Monday, blog fans!
Today is a particularly interesting Monday for me as I'm participating in a Nicole by OPI #NicoleChallenge. The theme for this challenge was Carrie Underwood. Participants were asked to create a manicure based on a Carrie Underwood song using polishes from the Nicole by Carrie Underwood Collection.
It was definitely a challenge for me as I'm not the strongest in the nail art department and I don't really know many Carrie Underwood songs. Of the few I do know, one worked particularly well with the shades in the collection - See You Again. If you're unfamiliar, it's a song about losing a loved one, but finding comfort in the fact that you'll see them again, presumably in heaven. Now, I don't know what the afterlife will consist of, or even if it does exist, but having lost someone, the song definitely brings a tear to my eyes and it worked nicely as my theme.
Back to the challenge though... And this is where your part comes in. The winner of the challenge will be determined via Twitter by your votes. To vote, you simply tweet about my mani or retweet my photo (my tweet can be found here) including my hashtag #Bailey4Nicole. You can tweet once and retweet once a day- for a total of two votes a day until Tuesday, Feb. 25th when the challenge ends.
What do you think of my manicure? I'd love you forever if you voted for it!
Since I recived a few more shades from the Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection since I first posted, I've updated the original post with new photos and additional swatches. Check it out here.

If you could look past the snow, today was almost Spring-ish... Almost. Okay, it was still kind of chilly, but it was warmer than the usual frigidity and the sun was shining with the promise of Spring. Since it's clearly not Spring just yet, I'd say it's best to take the 'fake it 'till you make' approach. If you don't have have a glowy, Spring flush just yet Clarins new Mutli-Blush Cream is just what you need.

I say it all the time, so you likely know this- Avon makes some truly excellent lipstick! They just do. They're always creamy and pigmented, and if you look for a sale can go for as little as $4. What's not to love about that? Well, get ready for more to love because the new Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick formula is pretty much amazing. More so than before- bet you didn't even know that was possible. Read on!

To prime or not to prime... It's a toss up for me. I always prime my eyes, but the rest of my face? I have primers I like for varying reasons, and I always prep my skin with a facial mist and moisturizer, but primer is something I quite often skip. That said there has been one that I've used more frequently lately- Avon Magix Face Perfector.
Spring makeup is in out in full force- soft pinks, floral themes and fresh glowing skin- it's a really welcome change from the cold, dreary, snow filled days. Of course, Spring brings flowers, pollen and all the sneezes... Still better than snow, no? For a super cute injection of Spring, Mark has a few new releases that are bound to get you in the mood for Spring- allergies or not!

I find it almost impossible to resist new makeup brushes. Can you ever really have too many? I tend to forget to wash my most used until I go to use them- I do spot clean, but that only gets you so far- so it's nice to know you have a backup or two or four. So, it only made sense that when I had the chance to try out this cute little brush set I couldn't pass it up. Hello, it's BLUE! I also swoon over coloured brushes- we all have enough black brushes, am I right?

Three posts in one night? Blogger of the year award here I come! Too much? Possibly. Something that does warrant excitement are the Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminators. I picked one up not expecting too much, but have become quite smitten.
Get your excited pants on ladies, this is a good one! I'll admit, I didn't think a whole lot about it when it crossed my desk, but once I used it? Colour me impressed! Read on and find out why.
Lately, I've been all about perfumes. I've always enjoyed them, but my collection has been growing quite quickly lately. Last week while talking a stroll through Shoppers, I picked up Lolita Limpicka Lolita Limpicka- I love L de Lolita Limpicka so I expect good things- Kate Spade Twirl and a cute little bottle of Essence Like a Day in a Candy Shop.

Today seems to be one of those days where I'm constantly moving, but nothing is getting done. Take this blog post- I started editing photos at 10:30 this morning, and it's now almost 4:30.The day went where? Oh well, I'm getting to it now, so that's something, right? Today we'll be chatting- well, I'll be chatting, you'll be reading- about the new Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 range. Spoiler: it's pretty great!

I am not a happy bunny; although I did see one. A bunny, that is. On my back deck. I put some lettuce out, but he hasn't been back yet. Anyway, I'm not happy because I finished watching American Horror Story: Coven. It was quite good, but getting away from witches and onto something a

I find that I don't really get excited about entire nail polish collections any more. There comes a time when you can only have so many versions of the same shades, but when I first saw the Zoya Naturel Collection I was smitten. Love at first site in the form of six little bottles. What could be better? Read on for a look!
There are certain things about blogging that I don't think I can ever get used to... surprise press samples are one- it's like Christmas!- and having the opportunity to review glasses being another. Glasses, how crazy amazing is that?! I've worn glasses since I was nine. They're the last thing I touch before bed and the first thing I do in the morning. I've tried contacts. Once. Okay, for ten minutes. They just weren't me. So it should be clear my glasses are a pretty important part of me. They also happen to be a pretty damn expensive part of me. Enter Firmoo!

A lot of nail trends end up being fads that end up unloved and unwanted mere weeks after they were 'all that'. You know the ones. One trend that seems to be sticking around though is the textured finish. I never expected to be a fan, but I totally am, especially when it comes to the sugary, shimmering versions. Sally Hansen is following up their Sugar Coat textured range with a new Sugar Shimmer line that brings shimmer and sparkle to the party- something the Sugar Coat formula lacked. Read on for a peek at Sugar Plum!
After a few years of blogging, you learn some things. A lot of things actually. So much that looking back on old posts can be pretty painful. While going through my blog stats I noticed that some of my most popular posts are older posts that could definitely use some updating. One of the worst offenders was my review of the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters, so I spent the morning re-swatching and re-doing photos. Check it out here.
Happy Monday, blog fans! I'm excited to say I did a bit of blog refreshing over the weekend. It was originally just supposed to be a font change- I had long lost my love of Grand Hotel- but as anyone with a blog can tell you editing can be a messy can of worms. When they tell you you should save your template first, do it. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the changes. The next change sees us saying goodbye to rounded corners. I've lost my love of them too. The last set of photos I have edited happen to be for a pretty amazing polish in the form of Picture Polish Freya's Cats. Read on to see it in it's full holo glory!
